Exact same post, but I'll be 75! Chad will be 88! I learned all of Chad's tenor parts! My favorite songs were/are "Mandy Lane" and "If I Gave You."

I am 76 and had the biggest crush on Chad !!! Have all of their and his albums and almost wore them out. Because of his voice I fell in love with powerful tenors. There is an acapella group called Home Free who have a high tenor with a beautiful powerful voice, been lucky enough to see them live 8 times. His name is Austin Brown, he has some solo songs too, one has 14 million views. Check him out, he is not Chad but he is good !!

@@terrichristenson432 I was a Chad Mitchell fan back then and now. I found Home Free like you did also. What a great group. I don't think there's nothing they can't sing. Did you check out Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist singing Opera? lol The two sound great. (I'm not an opera fan to speak of but it's amazing to hear the talent)

Someone give a shoutout for that microphone and the soundboard capturing their voices with such exquisite sound mixing.

Love the harmonies and how their voices blend. Eventually John Denver became a member after the departure of Chad Mitchell

The Chad Mitchell Trio appeared 3 times on the Sullivan show. They also sang "Columbus Stockade Blues" on this episode. Interestingly, this performance took place a few months before Peter, Paul and Mary took "Blowin' in the Wind" to number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, so this is a very early rendition of the song by Bob Dylan, before most had heard it.

Some people consider Chad Mitchell- and his TRio-the best of all the folk groups of the early 60's. My mother loved them and so do I.

What great voices. This style of singing is still very moving.

Saw them in concert once in the 60s.Spectacular! Owned all their albums. Huge fan. Still am!

This is when people could really sing and the songs meant something.

How I miss the days of this type of folk music!

I'm not a fan of her music but she uses auto tune very rarely. And the vast majority of today's performers don't use auto tune at all.
