I was feeling depressed with all the bad things happening in the world today and then I found the Menuhin competition and Christian Li. What a balm to the soul this is. Beautiful!

A mature artist in his 40s would be proud to accomplish such a performance. Christian Li's interpretation is confident, inspiring, and virile. He projects music of nearly unbearable beauty, ably assisted by an exquisite violin on loan, thanks to the Menuhin Competition, and superb pianist, the esteemed Laurence Matheson. Bravo. AND every time I watch one of his videos, I go away feeling cheerful and optimistic. Christian's interpretations and sincerity make me feel good about the future of the human race. I love how the pianist is really feeling it! Both are brilliant!

Delightful; I think he practiced in a "previous life" - so rich is his repertoire. Herrlich; ich glaube, er hat in einem "Vorleben" geübt - so reichhaltig ist sein Repertoire.

I watch in wonder as this young man played this piece yesterday in Harrogate as part of the international festival. What a talent and what a lovely young man. I wish him well in the future and I hope I shall have the privilege to see him perform live again. It was a truly amazing experience.

Emotionally intense performance, technically flawless with those accurate but hard-to-play double stops and octaves, combined with such a flare of musicality... Never thought Vitali’s Chaconne can sound so brilliant!

ive been watching a lot of his performances and i think what separates christian from other child prodigies is that it is evident he is enjoying what hes doing. im no musician myself but i can feel it they way he expresses his music, or the way he moves. im excited for all the great things you've yet to achieve.

NO MATURE ARTIST COULD ACCOMPLISH SUCH A PERFORMANCE -- SO MUCH CONFIDENCE AND EMOTION , THE INTERPRETATION VIRILE AND ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE BRAVO.

I've listened to this chaconne numerous times since childhood, this excellent performance strikes me as other masters

A genuine prodigy. His exceptional technical prowess, paired with profound emotional resonance, is awe-inspiring. His evident passion for the music elevates his performances to unparalleled heights.

Hope we can listen to him playing this piece again in the future time.

A Nobel prize deserving discovery

Although the sound recording not in perfect condition but still can feel the greatness of the performance, thank to Christian Li and Mr piano

OMG! That was incredibly beautiful! I am not at all familiar with Chaconne by Vitali, let alone Vitali, but there were parts where tears welled up... oh my Heart! This young fellow is an inspiration for all of us to be more than we have imagined.

The sound of this violin is extraordinary. Heavenly music.

The intensity of your sound and your technique are amazing, Cristian.

that small man creates such great sound...Christian is astonishing and always surprising!

Wow! Wow! The last chord shocked me! How can he keep such a clean, bright sound for a long time, wow! Bravo!

I’ve been playing cello for like six years now, and I am not even at a quarter of his level, I just can’t believe this. And the vitali chaconne?! That’s like a high high school level, low college level piece, and he’s playing it at his age, which I’m not 100% sure, but i think he’s like 10-12? But anyway, omg

Mandy Gee- that’s amazing! Just remember that no matter how much you wanna give up, don’t. It’s not worth it to give up, this is something that you should keep through your life. You’ll regret it so much later in life. Good luck and have fun!

Wouldn't we all love to be present in person??? The Menuhin videos are special because of the full impact of CLi's performance.

This is really beautiful. My favourite from Christian so far. It feels strong & in control yet touching, sensitive and deIicate at the same time. I hope he records this piece in the near future, on a full size violin.
