Chaco Sandals Talk - Which Sandal Is Right For You?

This video is to help sort out the minor differences between all the chaco sandals, and how to tighten the two main style branches. When shopping online, keep in mind that an X in the title means two parallel straps. The Clouds are a bit lighter and have more cushioning. If there's a 2 in the title, it means it has a toe loop. Thanks for watching!

Sabrina Alcaraz hey i dunno if you are being sarcastic or not because I work on the river and tons of people use them on the river all the time. they are kind of the standard on the river. The only complaint I heard was that the chaco souls were very thick as so you couldn’t feel the rocks if you needed to jump from rock to rock. But honestly I dunno if thats a bad thing or not, depends on preference I guess. Most people seem to like to wade into the water with comfort while stepping on sharp rocks that the thick soles the chacos provide. Also the soles are very grippy for wet rocks and they really are designed for river wear. I had a friend who loved his chacos so much that he refused to wear anything else rain or shine for years. Even when he finally gave them up they seemed to be in decent enough condition except the straps broke after 5+ years.

Pro Gnostic I wasn’t at all 😭 I just wanted to be sure cause I was only sure that they are good for hiking trails but I specifically purchased so I wouldn’t have to wear annoying water shoes so I wanted to make sure they are 100% safe to wear in the river thanks so much for your intel !!! Appreciate it a ton I’m going in two days haven’t got to wear them

Can I wear my Chacos to hike?

I would not recommend it. Chaco's have an open toe, a lack of foot support, and do not have the appropriate sole for serious hiking. However, if you're just hiking casually, they should be fine.

Wrong. It does matter between men's and women's . The women's is much narrower which is not suitable for most men's feet. Also, you're lying about the toe loop. Without it, your feet slide around too much when hiking causing blisters. But, if you're an urban fruit like this guy, then the non toe loop is better for casual use and if you want to wear socks with them. But if you hike, get the toe loop.
