AMEN!!!! Great video on what’s been going on at the chateau. I love hearing that there’s laughter, friendships are building, students helping you guys whether is with cooking or cleaning, field trips to Paris....soooo jealous, and most important faith building. I also agree with your comment on what the pandemic has done to the young people. In the states...some schools haven’t been in class since Covid hit. I teach little ones and you can’t zoom with that age group...it’s ridiculous. Thank God we were able to open up last summer for our 4 week summer program. Then we started school in September and slowly over the school year have doubled our numbers. Our summer school program has more kids signed up now than the last couple of years and the Fall registration is looking better too....Praise the Lord!!! 🙏 What a vision you both had and I’m so glad it came to light for you. I finally subscribed!! I kept watching what you were doing and just loved everything about your channel. As a Christian it’s nice to watch a vlog with people that have like minded values. The decorating you have done is fabulous! I know it’s probably a work in progress but you will get there. I love your dog too!! My Bichon will be 16 on Sunday. He has some issues but considering, he’s doing really well. He’s my “fur baby!” Blessings and love from CA!!!

Wow, what a experience for them to remember for life. Teenagers are great, I hosted 3 teens over one summer, each stayed a month in my home. Two from France and one Spain, this was 15 yrs ago and I am still in contact and visited either here over there. Congratulations, I am so happy for you!🇨🇦❤️BC

religion was taught in school when my kids were young as a mandatory subject but not these days and then sunday school when I was young , so we had a head start knowing some things about the Bible !! Glad it is all working out for you and the kids .

Terrific that you had so many students come, tour parts of France, and study the Word together. That's what it's all about: the lives you can touch through this experience. I hope the life-touching-life experience makes all those difficult days (stoves not working, passports getting lost, and so forth) worth it. I love following your story through these videos. I hope you never stop making them.

So glad everything has worked out and going well. It's amazing how when we can do things that we would normally do like sightseeing how it lifts one's spirits.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a "happy" for me to see the students and watch as they experience the Chateau and France. Yay GOD in so many ways!

So happy for you! We were lucky to visit Mont St Michel and Normandy the week after the 75th anniversary of D-Day. What an amazing time we had. It looks like you stumbled on the town of Bayeux? That is where we stayed for our tour of D-Day. Next time you go visit the Bayeux tapestry - we weren’t going to do it but found some time the morning we left. And now I can’t believe we almost skipped it! However, it was what started my obsession of the English monarchy so of course I feel that way now. I can’t wait to come back, would love to rent a home in Normandy or Loire Vally for a month, or volunteer for a couple weeks at your place! I can cook and bake!

The best use of a Chateau ever! I'll bet the old owner is pleased he sold it to the best owners ever! This is the best way to teach young people a sliver of their European roots and introducing them to history. Also the Chateau is testimony to what true quality and beauty is. The Chateau shows them the true capabilities of human skills without computer crap. People do not realize that they are capable of such skills because in todays world manual artistic skills are not developed. Crappy modern art is sad proof of the total lack of actual skills.

I think that even though COVID has been tough on the young people it will make them more resilient. If the worst thing they will have had to endure in their lives is not being able to socialize with their friends, they will have lived a charmed existence.
