I was able to get this scan tool to work, but I had to cycle the ignition switch back in order to get it to complete the scan on my truck. It could've been a problem with my truck, or the fact that my battery voltage in my truck was a litle low, but I was still able to read and erase the codes in several different modules and everything else worked fine.
