Wow, loved the way the viewer was transported slowly through the streets ... then that part of transporting from hospital to grave ... both excellently done because it was such a gentle flow. The inventor was compelled to invent and loved his wife too. The wife loved him and his dreams. So together each gave their life in one way or another to add something beautiful to the world.
Ohhhh, the death scene transitions were so movingly perfect!

Anyone else love the music from these short films? It's breathtaking!
As CGI Artist myself, i have rewind many scenes dozen times. Immaculate work of art. From very starting clouds to ending credits, every damn frame was "talking". It was no doubt perfect example of "telling a story frame by frame". No frame was wasted.

*_He was too busy making a video but forgot to cherish the actual moment with his loved one. This is so applicable to this generation, we are too busy with our gadgets that we tend to forget to cherish the moments with our loved ones._*
The music goes perfectly with the film! The presentation and the details are marvelous!
I'm speechless. u guys are awesome.
As soon as the candle went out and the scenes that followed, it made me realize just how true the scripture that reads “life is like a vapor” is.
I was just working on an essay about the trifles play by Susan Glaspell. I had to answer questions about how women were seen in the eyes of men. This film reminds me of those questions. The wife was so under appreciated. She gave him encouragement, he shut her down. When she ask to move on from the invention and to be content about what he achieved, he snapped at her. He was only nice to her when he took HER idea and his invention worked. He should have been more grateful to her, but I also feel bad for him too.
I’m glad that, for once, this isn’t a story about a man who is too obsessed with his work that he neglects his loved ones. Even though he was very excited about his invention, he still loved his wife very dearly. When he thought he was finished with his invention, he very excitedly wanted to show his wife.
@haqeeqee

Actually, while I’m not an inventor myself, I am pretty good with my hands and can build lots of little contraptions out of wood. As a husband, I can tell you that I get 10 times more excited to show my wife and impress her with the things I build than anyone else. If I didn’t have a cute wife to show off my skills to, I wouldn’t be nearly as motivated to keep building things. 😁
Tomasz Bagiński is already a legend☆

1:43 that woman brings the phrase “Why the long face?” To a who new perspective
That’s life! Life is too short. Either you put your whole energy in your family, or you put it in a higher purpose. That man was going to invent color films, his wife noticed how important that was for humankind, and so she kept it a secret that she will die soon. It’s sad that it ended like that, but so he was able to finish his work. If all geniuses would spend more time for family than for a higher purpose, we wouldn’t move on. Everything has its price, and sometimes you have to pay a very high price. Lots of very famous genius of our time paid such a high price, so that others have a better life and future.

This is the future of film making. No more 'stars' demanding ridiculous fees for their appearances. Now the 'real' stars will be the people making these films. The only limit to their skill will be their own creativity. This short film is remarkable.
Having pictures and movies of Loved ones after they are gone, is PRICELESS!

The way you made the death scene till he gets to the door is how it feels when you lose a loved one. Like everything around you is moving in a second right in front of you and you can't stop it.
I can't find any words to describe my feeling ABOUT THIS FILM. just excellent
Well done! I loved the blending of scenes from her deathbed to him being back home. This is, by far, one of the better videos I've seen.
He didn't even get credit for it at the end. Instead his invention was all he had left of her.
That scene transition in the last was beautiful.
I feel like there's a message here that no one in the comment section talks about. Rather than capturing moments in your heart by making memories with your loved ones, he was too focused on his invention that he lost time for the people he loved. He ended up capturing a tiny memory of her in a movie instead of making many memories with her in real life.
The animation and the cinematography, the score - everything - was just brilliant! Stunning, engrossing and deeply moving. Brilliant, brilliant film!!!
