@@alienartist6811 It's more a difference between marine mammals and fish. Wales, dolfins, seals, sea lions etc usually do the up-down motion while fish usually do the left to right.

@@PerfectAlibi1 Fair, though if their preferred prey is man, they might have mimicry to lure their preferred prey in, but be fully fish. Heck, my lizard looks like he has small bewbs from some angles.

Low key though really like the mermaid design. Was different and interesting to see them incorporated electricity as a thing they can use. Much like how some eels can. Love the concept.

Not saying a character has to have a reason to be gay but this story is clearly built around contrasting the gay sailor sexuality and the folklore of sirens luring men to sea

I came into this thinking "Okay, probably going to be a pretty generic mermaid thing." Then I thought "Cool, horror aspect, could be fun." Then it was hilarious, and then the ending killed me. 10/10, fucking fantastic.

@@dungeonsanddragonsanddrive2902 Originally, as far as I can tell, sirens had an overpowering allure over men, to the point they can't think straight and they rush overboard only to be devoured. This one probably did too, but it didn't work on the men because they had absolutely no attraction to women. So its not that its actually appealing or not, the sirens would make men just lose it for them. When compared, mermaids are the versions of the fish-lady that isn't out there to kill you though. But both versions usually draw by song.
