Unity #1 had the regular cover, plantinum, gold, and siler variants. So, a total of four different covers.
First appearance of James Bond is in DC Showcase in JB v Dr. No. Also the 1st appearance of Dr Who is in later issues of Marvel Preview
I just loved the original runs of Static and Hardware. Never did pick up Blood Syndicate though. I will have to give it a shot.
Movie To Comics: Yes! This a niche that has a strong foundation in what I collect. Recently got 2010, Hook, Dark Crystal, ......well you get the idea. I think the reason I love Movies to Comics is that it allows me to keep following the story that the movie starts without having to wait for "develop limbo hell" that movie studios put some franchises.
One of my favorite movie to film adaptation was the DC Little Shop of Horrors drawn by Gene Colan. It was so weird the way they tried to adapt a musical. The art was great though

That's a great book. Colan's art is perfect.
Thanks 👍🏼 😊
When I think of newsprint, I do not think of the paper DC prints its facsimiles on. Yeah, it's a matte, nonglossy paper stock, but to me, it's completely dissimilar in texture to the paper used in the printing of newspapers or old-school newsprint comics.
For movie comic adaptations, Marvel Comics Super Special is an excellent series - although it's magazine format. Some of the issues can be a bit pricey, like the Empire Strikes Back issue, or even the Blade Runner or Labyrinth issues. Some are also a bit overlooked, like Dark Crystal or Octopussy. Worth looking out for!
they should have grade level cases on the market someone can easily open if they love a comic that much... It may not go to a CGC, but I could see a reason someone would want a product like that!!!

The Ultra Pro One Touch UV Protected Slabs are amazing. I put my books in the UP Comic preserver and pop that in the case. and Boom Slabbed and I can take it out.

Comicskin has slabs that you can seal yourself. They are not hard to take apart and you can make custom labels
Really excited to see John in House of the Dragon season 2
I just picked up a bunch of the later issues of Eightball for $5 each at a local comic swap.
Late to comment but I think part of the previous value to X-Men 94 was the collecting community valued Runs and X-MEN 94 was seen as the first, the number 1, while Giant Sized even though it is the first appearance it isn't part of the run.
Best movie in 1984... "Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!"
11:58 check inside the front cover of that Unity gold - I think Shooter signed them all on the inside
"I'm happy with my 94. I'm really happy with it. Really, really happy."
Recently I obtained an All Star Comics #15. Not to familiar with golden age. I thought getting golden age superhero, minor key may be worth it. Is this a good route to go if getting into golden age? Thanks.
"Geographics", John? I studied Mathematy at school. My response to a store owner who wanted me to pay just to look at the stock would be far harsher than "Go screw yourself", I assure you. I nominate the adaptations of "Dr. No" from Classics Illustrated UK, reprinted in DC's Showcase #43, and of course "Dr. Who And The Daleks" from Dell.
J Scott is a fine artist with a unique style. But ive never seen a cover of his featuring a male character that i wanted to buy 🤷
Competition is always good for business. I can't wait until CGC is gone.

Hi guys, sorry I’m getting to this one a little later than normal. Want to correct something that you guys said. We know that typically you guys are right on target but you missed this one, Star Wars actually pre-dated the movie. The comic book came out first, so I’m not sure that you can say that it wasmade for the movie. In truth while we know this is not accurate. One could say the movie was made for the comic book. Just something to think about.
