Cfmoto Cforce 1000 Front and Rear Differential Oil Change

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

How to change the Cfmoto Cforce 1000 Front and Rear Differential Oil.
I used Royal Purple 75w90 which has the GL5 rating that cfmoto requires.
This is recommended yearly or 1000kms.

Did you actually do the recommended amount or did you "fill to spill", as they say? If you measured it out, how?

With cfmotos they recommend the exact amount as to not hurt the seals, however alot of people do the fill/spill still. I've actually switched and use a bottle the has the measurements on the side to put the fluid in, that way I get the exact amount

The cforce 800xc calls for 80w90 in diffs and 75w90 in trans. They all need to be GL5 rated. Do u run 80w90 in summer and 75w90 in winter? Or do u run your 75w90 all year long? I can see it being alot nicer running it all year long being its synthetic and less oil containers in garage to deal with. A one oil does all with that royal purple. But kinda scared it is to thin when the hot summer days and high speed running.

We do 75w90 all year round without any issues (Eastern Canada). That way we keep it in supply in the garage on hand ready for the oil changes etc. I do my frequently, minimum of once a year which at most would be maybe 500km if I'm lucky, I'll do the same with the engine oil/filter.

Is the transmission fluid the same as the diff oil? I was wondering because I watched your other video changing the transmission fluid and it looked you was using the same/new Royal purple and SAE.

Yes, I actually asked a sales representative at the local cfmoto dealership and they said yes before I did it, it needs to be Synthetic GL5 rated though (which the difs use)

@@PovertyPointCustoms helpful hint…. Take the fill plug out first… if that strips or won’t come out at least you can still use the bike.. if you drain the bottom out first you won’t be able to use the bike until the fill plug is fixed… helpful hint for a most wonderful guy!!
