I've been thinking about getting this drone as my first, I'm on a very tight budget and disabled so i can't afford the best and i can't find any used. I really appreciate your expertise and look forward to watching more of your videos. What about a video on the difference in 2 3 4 or 5 blade props

I have since 2023-04 an antenna mod video. In my opinion the perfect antenna for the Cetus X FPV kit suitcase and for other quads with a circular antenna ! As an example: If you want to fly another drone with the kit, such as the Happymodel Crux35.

Man, you're content is everything I've been looking for days... we need to learn the technical things, how the electricity works, visual examples of digital/analog and how to upgrade the equipment. Basically how everything works, and not only how to turn it on and use the joysticks. I live in Spain, and cetus takes soooo long to arrive, but I'll patiently wait to get started in this amazing hobby. Could you explain how transmisors work? You can change the motor speed by plugging in your drone to a computer and changing it via the beta FPV app so flying inside is easier.

Hi I bought a kit and lost the drone so I purchased a new one but can’t connect to my old kits controlller please helppp

CAUTION: Purchased Cetus X BNF version ELRS. Took a while to get in the air b/c I had to exchange a transmitter over Christmas. Flashed all firmwares (took time) then finally got out flying. On second day out was doing a simple roll and the FC locked out. Quad crashed. The super tiny snap connector the VTX plugs into broke off the board. Contacted BetaFPV expecting either warranty replacement or replacement part. BetaFPV did not warranty and stated “WE DO NOT OFFER REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS ISSUE, YOU MAY PURCHASE A NEW UNIT” (entire new quad). Contacted distributor RDQ and they stated there was no replacement parts. I would not recommend this product. Very negative experience. Working on video to show others.

Thanks for the feedback. Since we don't have the entire story (and we are not RDQ) we can't say what exactly happened, but there may have been a misunderstanding between BETAFPV and RDQ as this is something they have offered replacement parts for in the past. They definitely won't warranty anything for crashing, that is for sure!

@@volaertus if the crash was caused by a faulty FC and reported within 30 days then BetaFPV said it would have fallen under warranty. But first flights were after that time window. Second, my bigger issue and why I am posting this to the community at large is that they don’t offer a replacement part and this is not advertised. I’ve been in the hobby for many years and parts like this are always replaceable. That’s the problem in my mind. RDQs customer service regarding the issue was fantastic FYI. They provided a discount on a different quad.

I had an overheating VTX issue on my 2 Cetus X's. BetaFPV said it was normal for them to overheat, (even to the point things became unsoldered.) Beta offered to sell me a new vtx. No thanks. Thank God Amazon has a great return policy.

just bought it, can´t land the drone unless i cut the power. If I put down the throtle stick, does not land, is this normal???

I bought the drone and the flight controller seperately. I sonehow can't bind them, may someone knows how?

Quick question- it’s my understanding that the ELRS version does not have hover or position control. Can that be added to an ELRS version?

Correct, it does not. Adding it... I'm sure it's possible but you would have to be very, very passionate and skilled. I would rather get the altitude hold cetus x and get a real drone afterwards. The cetus is amazing for beginners, but there is an entire world out there post-cetus waiting for pilots 🙂

Do you know where to find a replacement camera for this drone? I can find the one for the pro but not the Cetus x, I think the camera it needs is a betafpv C04. Thought I would leave a comment in case you maybe were looking for a similar replacement since you probably have a lot more experience than I do.

I don't think they sell the camera alone for this one. It is the C04, but you should be able to use the C03. I would check with BetaFPV before you order, but be prepared to wait because they are out for 2 weeks (until February basically) due to Chinese New Year. Could you attach an HD camera to this? There’s a brand of a very lightweight 4K camera that I kept hearing about (can’t remember what it’s called) but guys were attaching it to some of these little drones so I’m assuming that camera must be super lightweight. Just wondering if you can do that with this drone.

I think you're talking about the runcam or even insta360, I've seen it done but I have not done it myself. If you did get a camera on there somehow, it would drain the battery faster but I'm sure this drone can carry something super light!

Hi, thanks! The goggles record in 480p and that is what you will see when you transfer the files from the SD card onto your computer. Glad to help, I would recommend you start off with this video before you get a poor recommendation from someone. You'll have to make sure the drone and radio are on the same elrs version (2 or 3) Set the same binding phrase And find which band/channel the drone broadcasts in We have a video coming soon to help out

I just bought 4 of these batteries (from you) but realized the ones that came with my drone have 3.8V on them instead of 4.35V. Same mAh and Wh. Could that be an issue?

Hey thanks for your support. The 3.8v is just the storage voltage, you can disregard it. As long as they're HV which it should say on the box then you can charge to 4.35, otherwise just do 4.20 volts

Why is my bind button on my Literadio 3 Pro working as trim function, and not bringing the ratio transmitter into Bind mode?!

In Air mode which is the least restricted mode I average 2-3 minutes because unfortunately for the hobby, batteries have not progressed enough to allow more flight time. Higher flight times can be achieved, even with this drone, but you have to just be hovering or coasting around. Once you start flying fast, doing flips, and all other kinds of quick things you will drain the battery of any fpv drone very quickly.

I like the idea of a “beginner kit” but I don’t want to get bored too fast. What should I get if I’m willing to spend $750-$1000?

Just for the drone? Or for everything because $750-1000 is still going to be a beginner kit just more expensive. If you want highly capable, tough and proven parts the drone alone will cost you around $500 plus everything else you will be above $1000 easily

You should get the dji fpv drone, it has simulator software and you can even put the googles on and experience it as if you were flying the real drone to get practice, and after you feel comfortable you can go out and have fun with it!

How do you bind this drone to the Zorro? Is there a video on that?

Not yet, but you just have to make sure they're both on the same ELRS version and bind them together. We will have an ELRS video out, but it's a bit farther back in the queue

Low battery flashing after 1:30 minutes and again at 2:30 minutes?

If you give it enough throttle it will suck the battery down real low until you let go so that's why it flashes even in the early part of the flight

What have you done to troubleshoot them so far? And how do you know for certain it's the motors? Reason we ask: if you fix what is not broken (motors) you will only experience more headaches

@@volaertus I think it’s the board I have a Cetus pro and I switched the motors around and they still spin the same way so it’s the board that is telling the motors to spin that way or that’s why I think

The only problem is that I can only seem to get it connected to BETAFPv configurator but not any other ones I tried with beta flight but it doesn’t work can you help me?

@@Airbenderfpv Did you physically switch the motors around or only through the configurator software? If you swapped the board around, you will have to look up a way to do that in the configurator program (z-axis calibration). The flight controllers are directional, or at least you have to ensure the direction is matching physically and logically (in the software). Then, you have to make sure the motors are spinning in the correct direction, typically they spin into the center of the drone OR towards the outside (away from the center). You have the cetus pro and while it may not seem like a big difference, the drone is entirely different than what you see in this video (Cetus X). The hardware and software are different so you have to look up information for the Cetus Pro. I would start by tracing back your steps and figuring out what you changed and why. If you were simply modifying or changed something accidentally, there might be a CLI Dump out there for your drone, but it doesn't look like it from the quick search I did online for the Cetus Pro. Unfortunately, there are an infinite number of things you have to check to resolve this problem, and we don't do service/repairs for drones as we are an eCommerce business. You can check out the manual here in case there is helpful information about calibration (Section 8.3) support.betafpv.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/4406163559321/Cetus_Pro_FPV_kit_-_Mode2_Left_stick_throttle_.pdf Alternatively, you should reach out to the store who sold you the drone and ask them for some help with troubleshooting or open a ticket with BETAFPV. There are also facebook groups, "beginner to fpv" in particular is great with lots of active members who can help you troubleshoot your drone. We do have a video on how to factory reset and FPV drone, but the cetus pro specifically will be a lot more challenging to reset due to the differences it has compared to the typical drone. kzread.info/dash/bejne/laKayZetoca0lco.html

Just got my Cetus X today and i didn't know anything about lipo battery's... Guess what it straight up melted my Flight controller and my drone is for now resting in peace ;-;

Do you know what caused it to fry, exactly?

Why noone tells about drone sitting turned on and vtx getting hot until it loses signal and could lead to vtx damage. Also you shoved the tools to repair your drone but not how it is done. Removing props with this tool could cause damage to frame or motor.
