    Paaannnnn The Organizer!!!! Excellent series! You are literally my go to channel for detailing videos! I’ve spent tons of $$$ on equipment and product all based on your videos. I never used a polisher prior to discovering ur channel. U gave me the confidence to do this on my own. My wife thought I was crazy at first until she saw the end product of our cars... the gloss from the paint alone won her over. This is such a great hobby for me and it’s all thanks to u bro! Hi David. I miss those too. However, I have recently moved into a brand new home, in a new construction/development area, so the roads are not yet asphalted. As I was one of the first homes delivered, there is still a long way to go before we have paved roads and no dirt/dust flying all over the place. So for now, I will continue to detail in my garage which was custom built specifically for this purpose. :)

    Hi Pan, I am a first timer with all this, and am a bit nervous about getting it wrong on my new car! Does the following look about right for my process - do steps W1 to W5 as wash stage (which would be my regular wash process adding step W6), then steps C1 to C7 to complete the one-off treatment. This obviously leaves the interior to do! Any advise before I start would be gratefully received. All products etc already bought. My car is a 5 year old black Mercedes E220 - the paintwork looks fine to my laymans' eye, but I have been told by Pros that it has some respray/repairs which are not up to standard. W1. Tyres & Wheels • Meguiar’s Hot Rims Wheel & Tire cleaner • Tyre Brush • MF Cloth • Clean • apply spray from 6”-8” • allow 15 sec to foam (use wheel brush if needed) • rinse with water • dry with MF Cloth W2. Pre-Wash • CarPro Multi-X • Pressure Washer • Foamer Fitting • Dilute 1:100 with water • Apply with Pressure washer • Do not allow to dry • Rinse W3. Snow Foam • Koch Chemicals: GSF • Pressure Washer • Foamer Fitting • Dilute 1:10 with water in foamer fitting • Attach to Pressure Washer • Spray over whole car • Rinse W4. Hand Wash • CarPro Resit • 1 x Bucket Warm Water • 1 x Bucket Water • 2 x Wash Mits • MF Cloths/Towels • Dilute 1:500 with water • Hand-wash (rinsing wash-mit in clean water between uses) • Rinse • Pat Dry W5. Ext. Windows • Stoner Clean & Repel Invisible Glass • MF Cloths • Spray a light coating • wipe dry with MF Cloth W6. Wax • Gyeon Wax • Orbital Polisher • MF Cloths • Apply product • Allow 30 mins to dry • Buff off C1. Paint Correction • 400 One 3D Cutting Compound • Chemical Guys: Polish Pad Conditioner • Orbital Polisher • MF Cloths • Orbital Polisher with Cutting Pad • 4-5 dots of Compound to pad • 1-3 sprays of Conditioner over dots of compound. • Apply to Panels in 2” square sections, in a lattice • Don’t allow to dry • MF Cloth wipe-off • Inspect with Torch • Repeat C2. Oil & Polish removal • CarPro Eraser • MF Cloths • Spray on • MF Cloth wipe-off C3. De-Contaminate • Q2M Clay Lube • Clay Bar • MF Cloths • Apply lube to Clay • Wipe clay over panel, with little to no downforce • Dry with MF Cloths C4. Final de-contaminate • CarPro IronX • Pressure Washer • MF Cloths & Towels • Spray on • Wait 3-5 mins (to turn purple-red colour) • Rub in with damp sponge • Rinse & Pat Dry C5. Polish • Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish • Chemical Guys: Polish Pad Conditioner • Orbital Polisher • Polishing Pad • MF Cloths • Orbital Polisher with polishing Pad • 4-5 dots of polish to pad • 1-3 sprays of Conditioner over dots of polish. • Apply to Panels in 2” square sections, in a lattice • Don’t allow to dry • MF Cloth wipe-off • Inspect with Torch • Repeat C6. Ceramic Coating • Armor Shield X • Applicator Block • Applicator Cloth • 4-5 drips onto cloth (which is over pad) • Apply to panel, in 2” square sections, in a lattice, overlapping, 2 x horizontal + 2 x vertical passes • Allow to go ‘iridescent’/oily rainbow finish • Polish off with MF Cloths C7. Hi, thks for your sharing, as i know using qd as drying aid can minimize the scratch/swirl mark, so after that can i apply wax or sealant?

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    2 ай бұрын

    Correct. Using a quick detailer or drying aid when using a microfiber towel to dry the car acts as lubrication, thus minimizing the chances of marring the paint during the towel drying process. After that step, yes you can apply a traditional carnauba wax or paint sealant. But you wouldn't use a drying aid if you were applying a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond to a virgin clear coat, free from any previous protection.

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi! First, what kind of protection is on your paint? Do you have a ceramic coating? If you have zero protection (not a good idea) or you have a ceramic coating (best paint protection available), there are water spot removers that you can use. You wash your vehicle first, dry it, and then use the water spot remover. You spray it on a microfiber towel, wipe on the surface, and then immediately buff off with a second clean and dry microfiber towel. Once you are done with the process, wash your car once more, to neutralize any leftover residue from the water spot remover. Here's an excellent few product selections: bit.ly/3MUyMJN bit.ly/43Hx6Jt Now that's assuming the water spots haven't been left unattended for too long, baking in the hot sun, and potentially etching through the clear coat. At that point, you might need machine polishing steps, or water sanding, or if it completely destroyed the clear coat, a respray.

    I typically will apply a topper every 2-3 months. The coating underneath should be good until the end of its lifespan. So if the brand says 2 years, then at the 2 year mark, I do the entire process all over again. Unless I see a big degradation in the coating's performance before that.

    The protection underneath won't last beyond its original durability. The fact you are adding toppers on top of protection just ensures you reach the maximum durability and get maximum performance during its lifespan. By the way, Gyeon have since updated the formula to the new EVO version, and it now lasts up to 12 months. Links in the description.

    Pan, I have yet another question for you. I’ve recently started investing in Gyeon products and what I’ve used so far…I love them. I ordered Wet Coat and here is my question. Can a small section of a panel be sprayed with Wet Coat and distributed with a microfiber wash mitt for more of an equal distribution and then rinsed thoroughly? I’m having a very difficult time wrapping my head around a product that I just spray/mist on and rinse off. It just seems to me that the distribution would not be as even as it would if you apply a small amount with a mitt and then rinse. Thoughts? Thanks again.

  • @PanTheOrganizer

    @PanTheOrganizer

    2 жыл бұрын

    Spray and rinse products get distributed evenly when you rinse with your pressure washer. You’ll see this easily as you will have equal water beading on the entire panel. I know it sounds weird but you’ll understand when you apply it. And one thing is for sure: don’t overapply this.

    Hi Pan, I have a weird question. If it's raining fairly hard outside and I spray Gyeon Wet Coat on my clean car while it's raining, would the rain "rinsing" it off my car be the same as rinsing it with a hose? What about driving the car around the block after spraying it to let the rain rinse it? I live in a townhouse community and car wash hours are strict and when it rains, it tends to rain during late evening and early morning when car washing is not allowed. However, I CAN spray the car down with rinseless washes, spray on/wipe off products within my parking stall. I just can't use the water hose

    You can't compare both, as they are two different types of products. One is a quick and easy to use spray on protection. The new EVO version of CanCoat has a durability claim of up to 12 months now (the previous version was 6 months). The other, CarPro SiC, is an actual paint coating (glass bottle) said to last around 2 years, but takes way more prep and time to apply. So it depends on what your goal is. If you prefer simplicity and speed, go for CanCoat. If you want maximum durability, go for SiC or better yet, get one of the new Gyeon EVO paint coatings that can last up to 4 years.
