Part of our ITV 60th anniversary celebrations. Sadly we've not gotten around to digitizing much Central stuff from post-1990, as yet!

Such memories of happier days. I believe the ITV regions gave far more and invested more into TV entertainment than anything thats shovelled out these days. Thames and LWT in particular produced a fantastic selection of really great shows. Alas, those days are now long gone. 😢
0:20 is an ident worthy of a US national tv network. Full of presence and with an instantly memorable jingle. The people who come up with the tat they have on ITV now could learn a lot.
I love the paint splashes and the good night sequence is so blissful. I can just imagine all the village saying good night to children and spouses, turning off the lights and resting heads on pillows.
1:18 is a throwback to when the logo was a moon
0:03 The Central Aspirin.
Good Night And Sleep Tight Don't Let The Bedbugs Bite.
I liked the first one.
Central, provider of : The Moomins [original and endearing fuzzy felt version not the crappy 90's one], Spitting Image, Inspector Morse, Peak Practise, Rod Hull and Emu, Grotbags, Shine on Harvey Moon, Woof! , Sharpe, Kavanagh QC, Boon, Dangerous Lady, Soldier Soldier, Auf Weidersehen Pet, Stanley and The Women, The Other Side of Paradise, Tiswas and many more.
0:10 Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends The Original Series. (1984). X❤
certainly did like this logo for central TV.
I remember these idents between the ages of 12 and 21.

It’s beautiful, I love it.
Their first few years of idents were appalling but then when the end of August 1985 arrived and we got the cake, that’s when it made its mark
