CEN RACING M-Sport Puma Rally 1 Pre-Order Today: bit.ly/3YFT7GV
Orders will start shipping in Mid September
CEN Racing has just announced their latest RC car-the M-Sport Puma Rally1. It looks stunning and we have one here at CCxRC to show you. Pulling the car out of the box for the first time might just take your breath away. The colors on this body really pop and it achieves the scaled down look quite well. The body, however, is cut a little too close on the rear tires. I had several instances that the body got sucked up on the tire if the suspension compressed from hitting a decent bump in the road or from a jump off a curb. The car is very quick and responsive on 2s and will probably be a lot to handle if you step up to 3s.
Other than the body getting sucked up in the rear and having to hit reverse for it to fix itself, the car did really good on the cement parking lot. I then took it to the packed sand trails at a park nearby to get some cool shots of it ripping what I thought looked like a narrow rally course....this didn't go well. I have cool shots for the video, but only because we put in extra effort and a lot of walk-of-shames to keep resetting the car. The steering would jam from pebbles getting in the tub chassis. I'll have to try driving it on pavement that has some loose rock on the top to see if the same happens in that scenario. I had an HPI Sport 3 Flux Falken Porsche that wasn't drivable on most surfaces because little rocks would jam the steering. This is setup completely different and I doubt it will be an issue, but I definitely want to do more testing. My driveway has a lot of loose little rocks and will be a good test spot for that when the rain finally gives me more than one day to drive this thing.
Our parking lot experience was really great with this and I definitely think it will be something that is suited toward on-road or packed dirt surfaces that doesn't have a lot of debris. Definitely a good new offering from CEN Racing.

CEN Racing knocked it out of the park. Tamiya and Cen have both used those you pins to hold in the inner suspension arms on their vehicles in the past from my experience they've always worked really well.

Nice! I haven’t worked with enough to have notices it before
It's Bad boy Rally a true rally thank CCR for this awesome video
Our track is asphalt inside portion transitioning into outer loop of track hardpack r for rally this vehicle is a true monsterr in running just needs tuning to your driving style. CC RC you rock love this channel
nailed the look of it man you tore that body up but definitely loos like fun. someone in that boat was giving it plenty of gas lol
Thank You for the honest review, I was looking at it earlier today and thought it might take some damage when beating on it...
Looks awesome, didn't see this coming from CEN.

It’s a cool choice from them
Good old Michigan sand....👍I ordered one today......my son take a maverick and wr8 on the hike path when we camp....in mich also
Your channel rocks
Awesome body. I still love my WR8 and just stocked up on an extra body and tires for it. It’s really not great on rough terrain either, it needs really “scale” surfaces like dirty/dusty pavement or hard packed dirt. I also raised the body up a bit which doesn’t look as good but is a lot more functional. I like to think of it as a much more usable on-road car.
Great movie 🎥 shen rc is right about it using some fenders. I still think its super dope tho❤❤❤

Thanks. I’ll probably try one of the mesh covers over the top of the chassis. I think that would fix the issue with running it here
The best showcase of this rally car, nice honest test! I think it needs more aggressive rally type tires and maybe some inner fenders to block the dirt from getting inside the chassis.

The way the chassis is setup, an elastic screen over the top would help
Great run Tony👍 That type of performance on 2S.

It was awesome for 2s
Oh maby the zipper bag like cover or hairnet looking thing that came with the kaiju could keep dirt out. It looked so good in the sandy trail 🎉🎉🎉
Like the tires.
It's a must have vehicle
I was interested to see the metal parts as when I made my own re-release Super Sabre I used the HotShot drive shafts and prop shaft which are beefier. Looks like the basic ines are in the re re kit. Nice ine Andy 👍🏻
Looks great, wish Horizon would sell some CEN but still very cool. May have to pick it up, looks like a supped up Fazer almost
This is a great buy we compared towhat it would cost up against the hpI and Traxxas this is the best RC rally in 2023

That’s awesome to that you did comparisons. I really like this rally. We weren’t very nice to it for the first run 😂

@@CCxRC I just received my MSport Puma the other day. I didn't even get through one battery pack and now I have a useless $400 paperweight. I took it out for some light driving in an empty parking lot. After about 5 minutes of initial driving I lost drive. The motor was spinning freely and the wheels weren't moving. Turns out that the pinion bolt had backed out and the output shaft was just spinning around uselessly. I re-installed it and set off again. 5 minutes later one of the rear wheels came flying off. I thought that the nut had come loose. Unfortunately, the axle had just decided to snap right at the hex (where the hole for the pin is). This must have been a manufacturing defect. I contacted Cen Racing but have not heard back. Also the spare axle kit is out of stock (as are most of the spare parts for the Puma) so I am truly out of luck....
I'm currently building a open to public rallycross track out in Huntington Oregon. We will be running the MJX hyper go 14302 for beginners and the LC Racing ptg2r for middle class and I'm thinking this would be ideal for the pro class. This is gonna be a quick buy for me to get this all up and going.

That’s awesome! Hope it works out amazing for you
Nice foreshadowing on that rear bumper. Too much body but it is a nice looking big car.
It is a good looking car

Definitely. I think it hits a home run in several areas.
RALLY!!
Different tires for off-road might be the way to go.
I know the ESC is waterproof hobbywings always but what about the rest of it?
If I do get one, it's going to have to get a 4s esc, so I can run lower gearing for more punch and still have the top speed
Would love to see it go up against the Traxxas Ford fiesta rally this new M sport offers so much for the price it rocks picking up two of these
Ours arrived had to Dremel it to stop catching
Transmitter look like same with team magic e5hx right?
Looks great! I was looking at the HPI WR8 but getting HPI stuff is hard around here especially parts so this might be a better option. Seems the back bumper is a common problem, so Im sure it will be addressed.

hpI has 4000kv vs the 3000 in this I ran both on asphalt the hpI had more get up and go however this vehicle handled beautifully on the asphalt track out performed the Traxxas rally and wr8 in the. Turns
You ripped body on that video? Only saw you go off a couple curbs thats not good....other than that and rear bumper issue I love it...I would keep it on the dirt/gravel where it seems to belong
Will these tires fit the infraction 3s?
Would have loved to see a Ken Block rally tribute... This looks awesome though. I think HPI did it better with the WR8.
I got one in the mail 2 days ago but it's too cold to take it outside I live in Ohio.😎
Is this waterproof?
I wonder if CEN has any upgrade parts planned for it?

They do. Should be announced in a month or two
Thanks for the video. Car has the looks but poor chasis design for a rally car. The pebbles getting the steering stuck and the bathtub chassis is a no go.
Been using a long hard painting brush 2inch wide to clean out the inside at track
très beau model, dommage qu'on ne puisse pas l'avoir en France. Bonne journé
Just my opinion but these new rally cars are falling short of what the Traxxas Rally is capable of. Rumor is thats going to be coming out 2s brushless for $329
I was correct when I called a Ford Fiesta body.

I don't drink redbull but I think the bodys killer🎉
SO, it looks good but don't drive it because it is only good on the road. Buy a Traxxas Rally and put in a max 10 system, will do!

This will drive off road. Just need a cover for the tub that companies sell to keep the rocks outs. Just happened to be the location I chose. Many others drove it off-road without issue. The traxxas one is really just a shortcourse truck setup with a car body on it. This is more like a touring car setup
so dramatic...i expected it to jump out of a burning window

It's such a shitty remote, tho. I've just purchased one, and tbh, I'm really disappointed
For $500 you'd think they would have spent a few more dollars on a body that didnt crumble and fold in on itself from a 2 inch jump. This is a rally car, and the fact it cant handle anything off-road is kinda amusing, body is torn up after 1 day playing around, cause its thin and cheap. Also, the fitment of body is hideous and flexes way too much, and the suspension is WAAAAYYYY to soft, if it was stiffer, it wouldnt fold into itself on the tiny little jumps. Overall, pretty to look at, but very expensive for mediocre design and quality control... also, I'm in Canada, so its like $800 once taxes, fees, and such get added on.
Hmmm. Never heard of the ford puma. Must be overseas
