Use 4X4 blocks under the front legs of the mixer - that will stop the water frim ciming out. I took off the blades and plugged the holes with the rubber from roofing screws and the bolts from the blades, so no leaking on the sides. Use walnut hulls and a little sand- the shells will act and their own medium ti rub against each other. If the shelks staybtok wet they will rust inside. That hull and san mixer can be used over and over.!

You can cut cost by buying citric acid instead of lemishine. Lemishine is nothing but Citric acid and lemon scent. The cheapest place to buy bulk citric acid is from candle manufactures as they use it; comparative shopping ftw!

oh and try throwing in some lemon juice with the citric acid, if you want that distinct scent of lemishine

Thats what I do. after that I deprime and resize. Then I rerun it with stainless steel media. That cleans the PP out nice. After I load the ammo I run it in Walnut media with wax. That keeps it from tarnishing so fast.

@Isyour6covered My boat shop burned down on July 3rd this year. I insurance. So I’m trying to salvage as many of the hard tools as I can. Like clamps and wrenches and sockets. Stuff like that. I have a big old school cement mixer. Think I could toss the tools in it with a mix of water. Sand and whatever else to clean the rust and burnt bits off? What would you suggest for cleaning stones? Or ceramic or whatever?

I would maybe try sand no water. The tools might be brittle cause of the heat they had

Ya know....an old but still functional front loading washing machine would be perfect for this. Figure out how to eliminate the spin cycle and you've got an automatic brass washer and rinser. For that matter, an old clothes dryer would work great to dry the brass too. Maybe turn the temp down a little.

This is what I'm looking into trying. The price of rock Tumblers have gone way up and I want to do much larger scale. I have read that saw dust can also be used as a filler to stop your rocks from smashing around.

Too loud, and they don’t last. I run a Kushlan all day and all night. My primary tumbler since 2013, no issues whatsoever other than replacing the bearings on it after a few hundred hours of tumbling about 60-80lbs of brass in walnut. If you’re looking to do brass on this level, get the most powerful motor you can and a commercial duty cycle. Just my experience after tumbling a few thousand pounds of brass.
