My dad chose this to be played at his funeral. I know he meant the words to say that he wasn't scared and that he felt peaceful, but it makes me cry every time. I miss him so much, every day.

Both of mine were gone before I was thirty-four; that was over thirty years ago. I pray your father rests in peace - and that you find solace in the knowledge that you will see him yet again.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost mine at 21, and I am now 52. Time eventually eases the pain of the loss. My prayers are with you and your family and I hope your father is resting in peace.

My nephew (opera singer) just sang the Dvorak version of Going Home (actually written and arranged by Dvorak‘s pupil, William Arms Fisher), at my father’s funeral this morning. It was absolutely beautiful and deeply moving. This song is a beauty too.

My favorite of all Celtic Woman videos, it helped get me through my grieving after my wife passed away.

I....I remember this song, and it made me break out sobbing. My twin brother, 11 years ago today, could not fight his demons, and left us by his own hand. In his honor, I sung this song at his farewell, to honor someone I loved. I remember him, the joy he gave, and how empty it seems without him, like a piece of myself is missing. Rest well brother, I'm sorry I couldn't save you.

Celtic woman only perform in western countries, it would also good if they will have Asian tour... We would love to welcome them in the Philippines my country...

I fail to produce any words worthy of Celtic Women in any of their pairings. A truly incredible -- aye magical -- troupe. May the sun always stay on all their faces.

I just saw them in concert on 4/4/19. They sung this, it was wonderful.

This is my favourite track from the new album. I cried when they did it in concert last year. For me, it could be two things, going home to your roots, tracking your history home- or going to heaven after a full life. Either way it's beautiful and one of my new all time favourite CW songs. 💖

If ever there were to be a PERFECT singing/musical group announced, Celtic Woman would have to be right up there amount the leaders in the world. Lovely to listen to and simply inspiring to watch.

While it is true these beautiful women have the most beautiful voices ever heard, it is their harmony and the supporting production that makes them absolutely brilliant. I am not Irish, but they make me wish I were. Beautiful!

It's a low whistle. A type of tin whistle that is characteristic of Celtic music.

Oh man, I love how in the beginning I could tell that the melody had a lot of similarities to Amazing Grace. The singing of the Celtic ladies was beautiful as always. Just when I thought it couldn't get better... *The Bagpipes come! :D Oh Yeah!*

Went to see these amazing women tonight in Glasgow and I can honestly say it was a privilege! I have no idea how they can sing like this, they each have the voice of an angel, they create emotion with every word and the way the hold themselves is truly inspiring, they are without doubt the best group to ever sing anywhere in the world, nothing comes close to these amazing women! If you think they sound amazing on cds or videos you have to see them live words just don't do justice to their amazing talent!

My thought as well. When I listen to this, my eyes are on her. Skillful (I do not do percussion but I played in a marching band & an orchestra when I was young, and know what a good percussionist does) w2ith a nice smile and a great dimple!

We’re ever Celts gather, Celtic music stirs the hearts of that race that spread across much of Northern Europe. I remember being surprised when visiting Santiago de composteller in Norther Spain and hearing a couple busking, he on the bagpipes and she singing - it was pure Celtish music.

I whish that they still had Susan Mcfadden I LOVE her but Celtic women are amazing I LOVE them so much. :)

This is one of my favorite songs of the Ancient Land tour! We met the girls when they came to the Peace Center in Greenville, SC! They were so sweet and kind. Words can't describe how beautiful their music is, and how incredible the stage looked with the colorful lights. Celtic Woman takes me to a different world when I hear their music! 🎶🍀🎶🍀

If I remember the song is about a Soldier returning home after a war. Most interpretations is that of a former Southern Solider from the American Civil War who is returning to a home that has been ravished by battle thus the line "The Ground feels the same, though the land has been torn" which many fields and farms properties in the American South became Battlefields. Also the original version of this song was played in the beginning of the movie "Gods and Generals" a prequel to "Gettysburg" in which many regimental flags from famous units in the Civil War were displayed.

For those that like this song, you can find the original version by Mary Fahl in the opening of the American Civil War movie, Gods and Generals. A fitting tribute for those would or did give their lives for a cause they believe in. "Riamh Nar Dhruid O Spairn Lann!"
