I don't understand where the hate comes from to start with. It's not like the expression "sing hallelujah" is inextricably tied with religion in our secular society. It's so commonplace that it can just mean "rejoice" without necessarily having the religious aspect ingrained. Taking the use of a phrase as some sort of religious statement seems pretty knee-jerk in my humble opinion.

I don't understand why this track has so many dislikes. Klayton has always mixed various styles together in his music. To me this album wasn't a break from character. He basically channeled all of his influences for this one. It think it's amazing.

The people that change nothing in the end are people who do not provide valid reasons for moving the telesis forward. People who are mystically non-dual consciousness-[non small]minded and scientifically/philosophically-minded (like the Ken Wilber E.E.G machine video) are actually the ones who change the most.

As somebody who had never heard of Dubstep until very recently, I always considered Celldweller's work to be Electronic Rock occasionally combined with orchestrals. So much classic Electronica is now being rebranded by fans as Dubstep for some reason.

Oh man....so many memories of college listening to this song it was one of my favourites. Cyber goggles, tie in dreads, new rock boots! Now I'm a 32 year old mum 🤣

35 year old new mom here. I was living in Japan around this time. Listening to Celldweller and Scandroid while walking around in the cities was magical.

Great song and great album. If anyone has followed Klayton since the "Circle of Dust" days, they know that his work is constantly evolving and changing. In my opinion, for the better!

I'm an atheist, and quite frankly, I don't care tbh. Klayton is a great guy the few times I actually spoke to him via facebook replies, and his music is absolutely amazing. plus his analogue set up is beyond amazing.

Does Klayton still make music? I remember the hype around Blackstar (you know, when he was releasing two songs every half a year before the album itself came out) and how fucking epic it was when this whole record finally hit the shelves. This song made me piss myself with excitement, all these songs together are so catchy and tell such amazing stories that stir one's imagination. It's four years now and I still remember every song, must have listened to this album a million times back then. But then Celldweller got kind of quiet. Even the website was last updated in like 2014. So what happened?

The "End of an Empire" Album was released somewhen 2015 - and also dropped in chapters as "Wish upon a Blackstar" did. I think social Media is the best way to stay updated about celldweller - you will not miss a thing. :)

Um... he has since then dropped a new vocal album called End of an Empire through various chapters and as a whole has dropped with that album: A Full vocal album, and album of "Factions" (which act essentially like a Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head album) and 2 remix albums. He has also reissued an old ep, and has dropped a bunch of other instrumental projects. My friend you have a lot of catching up to do :)

You would want to keep track of Celldweller's facebook for info on what Klayton's been up to under the name. Also what has come out recently that I forgot, is that he is doing video game soundtracks, a movie soundtrack and is reissuing and remastering all of the albums he made under his Circle of Dust band back in the 90's and is planning on dropping a new Circle of Dust album and a new Scandroid album this year. So not will you have a lot to look into, you will have a lot to look forward to. Enjoy :)

Klayton is actually a member of Mt Zion Church in Clarkson Michigan. I met him when i was also attending, He worked at the Sound board, And was usually accompanied by Bret (Blue Stahli) The Song is"nt very much about Religion, But That's only because Klayton, being an artist who understands most of the people who listen won"t always agree with his religious veiws, distanced his music away from His views on religion. Thus shielding his own opinions, and that of his fellow churchgoers.

Amazing song

Makes me think of a world like Warhammer 40K, not like it's actually religious! More like it's describing some formidable space Crusaders who might have their own religious agenda, but are characters in a sci-fi not a real-world people, and aren't Klayton's opinion. Like Sisters of Battle or Space Marines - or the Bene Gesserit. We all know Klayton's a BIG sci-fi fan, and having relentless zealots in a futuristic setting is a common sci-fi trope, and as a lot of his songs play out like sci-fi short stories to music, it makes more sense that he's singing about that than some fatalistic/deterministic take on Christianity.

So if i'm religious (Christian) am I suppose to not like this song? Hmm... was I suppose to buy the album as soon as it came out it and listen to it frequently over the next 3 years? I'm not sure... Well that's a lie, I am. Of course though to me Jesus is infinitely more important than Celldweller (even though he is my favourite musician), the album is a great fictional story that, though it picks up on religious themes, shouldn't be taken too seriously. I have my own interpretation of every song which probably differs from a lot of other people. This album also inspired a story I have now fleshed out that can deliver a positive Christian message. True the lyrical content isn't for everyone, but it leaves more room for thought than you'd think. For me God created good from this, and inspired me through it.

A good point! If there are Christian Celldweller fans like myself, but they perceive the song differently, then of course they'll be dissapointed, and they'll probably want to let Klayton know this in the hopes that future lyrics will be different, or something similar. As for everyone else, I have few guessing, but I don't know.
