Actually about your last Céline reaction of call the man at the world music awards, it was not live, and that happens often at award shows for many reasons, the thing is i wanted you to react to the live performance of this song in quebec, it was waaaaaay better than the recording. Céline is one of a very few artists who sing live even better than the recording.

Love your page and your reactions! ♥️🙏 Also, I think people forget that artists have to get permission from other artists to perform their songs, so there’s is no reason to hate on someone else’s performance just because it’s not the original artist singing it.

Celine-Aretha Tidbit- Aretha loved Céline! Aretha actually requested Céline to sing A change is gonna come at her memorial concert (you did a video on it) there is a moment in a divas live concert where they have a riff off- it’s maybe the best 1 minute of music.

truly an amazing moment in time when a white diva sang at the memorial for a black legendary diva and the song was A change is gonna come! We have come far but still so much change needed. But what a glorious tribute and moment.

Lolz, Soul is the black people's version of dark colored tones and heavy belting and freestyling. Just because Celine's voice is versatile and she can sing like her recording or maybe because she doesn't improvise too much they tend to say she lacks SoUL ... when in fact Celine's say of singing less sometimes makes it more effective than their idea of "Soulful" singing. It's a matter of preference, you may call aRetha or other black singers the SoUlful ones in terms of singing by your definition but they have less impact on me as a listener. Also, this is her version, she made it her own and she did not intend it to be your definition of what soulful singing is... Nevertheless, her tone is so much better, her adlibs are superb and because I heard her version first since 1996 to me, it's the best version out there. :)

oh you're looking for a fight wink wink lol the woman might not have touched your soul but she is truly an international icon of amazing vocals and she is someone most would refer to as a singer full of soul.
