I love how when they backup a singer, they let the singer’s voice come thru, and make the singer the focus.

The One Night Only concert is one of the greatest live performances I've ever heard and seen.

Barry kept tearing up in Celine's presence. If you want to learn a lot about them, their documentary how do you mend a broken heart gives a lot of info.

There is a “making of” video where Barry gets quite teary during the rehearsal as it was also a dream come true for them to work with her. Watch it sometime.

This is my all-time favourite BEE GEES song even though they aren't the lead singers . You should find the video where Celine is introduced to the song for the first time it has Barry tearing up it's that good . Now everytime I hear it I tear up and for a supposedly tough old cranky Aussie that's some admission .

Could have not been better than this the 4 together, perfect, her style of song, they knew what they were doing, like they always do and producing hits!!

Two out of the four are already "immortal" through their music, Maurice and Robin who both passed on. Eventually Celine and Barry will be as well. All of them icons.

To me the live version from "One Night Only" is the best version of this song... ❤❤❤❤

It's atreat to watch your reactions to a Bee Gees song. This is such a special one with Celine. You did a wonderful reaction to it. There is a video in KZread of the day they filmed the recording of the track with Celine Dion, and Barry and Maurice reached for tissues to wipe away their tears. They were so moved by Celine's singing. And another astory-- when Stephen Colbert asked Bono what song would he choose to listen to if he could only listen to one song. Bono names a Bee Gees song-- "Immortality." He said when he heard Barry sing it in Dublin after the last of his brothers had passed away, it almost brought him to his knees.

They often wrote songs for women, even in their Aussie-times, when they've been so, so young. Barry Gibb composed 'In The Morning' and in 1968, Esther & Abi Ofarim had a big hit with that song, was called 'Morning Of My Life' on their single.

Loved this song by Abi and Esther, but almost a little bit more the Bee Gees version, and most the fun version from them, where you can see their great talent as singers AND comedians!

This is so pretty and Celine is amazingly talented. I watched an Aretha Franklin tribute evening and she was the only artist that evening who did Aretha justice.

So many duets with top artists and so many songs written by them for artists , they really were quite incredible, love that your doing this experience.

Barry also collaborated with Barbara Streisand on her "Guilty Pleasures" album.....it was her follow up album after the 'Guilty " album. "Above the Law" is really good.

Another great reaction. One of the many things I love about the Bee Gees is how they "serve the song" with no ego. Whatever is right for the song is what happens, even if it's them singing backup. I wasn't necessarily a Celine fan, but she kinda won me over on this one. Great song done just right.

I went to a concert at the Wembley arena in the 80s, Celine was the headline act, i couldn't believe what i was hearing. Awesome.

There is a. live in Las Vegas which is amazing but I highly suggest the original where the BeeGees hear her sing and they too sing with her for the. first time. Celine was guest at the fantastic "One Night Only" concert. It's on KZread. Barry wrote many of his songs very quickly. I believe he met Robert Stigwood while sitting on the steps at Apple writing a song.

@Greg Self - It is a common misconception that Barry wrote everything. All three brothers wrote together but 90+% of songs written for themselves and others were written by Barry AND Robin. Of course when they were kids Barry did the writing because Robin and Maurice were over 3 years younger, a big gap at that age, but once the twins became teens, they were in there full force. Stigwood did not meet Barry sitting on steps writing a song. Stigwood received audition tapes they made in Australia before returning to the UK that were sent by their father Hugh (actually sent to Brian Epstein at NEMS, the Beatles manager) and he said "Give them to Robert, he's Australian". As a result Stigwood phoned them at home and asked for an audition. They didn't even think Stigwood was impressed and thought it had been a waste of time. He signed them the next day.

In the official video, there's a scene where the guys are walking down the hall, looking like ghosts. What I found creepy is that two out of three guys are dead. Ghosts.

They also wrote for Kenny Rogers, Dion Warwick, the list goes on and on. When they were so criticized after the world was “tired of disco”, their talent as songwriters kept them busy. Barry has had back surgery and got totally unable to keep up the crazy touring life, but they took families and the whole group would travel for special appearances. Did you know that Barry created a new album with country stars after all his brothers were gone? It’s beautiful.

When Celine Dion toured Australia, she heard John Farnham's You're the Voice that you did a reaction to. At one of her concerts in Melbourne I think, John Farnham joins her on stage to sing You're the Voice. Since then, Celine sings that song in her concerts. The Bee Gee's have written many songs for other artist including Barbara Streisand where they wrote the song Guilty, which Barry Gibb sings with her. There are videos of both these concerts.

You should just look up how many songs Barry has written for other people that were hit songs! Pls react to Chain Reaction by Diana Ross at some point with Barry on harmonies.

Don't think I have ever heard anyone refer to Celine's vocals as harmonica action. You made the same type of comment about Barry bringing the harmonica on a previous reaction. I believe you are referring to his beautiful vibrato. I would never have thought to compare it to a harmonica. This is not meant to be a negative comment, and I realize it may just be how you describe what you are hearing. It just caught me off guard and I wanted to mention it. I'm a new sub and am enjoying your reactions, especially the Bee Gees.
