Celica GT4 UPGRADES

Celica upgrades have begun. Starting with some basics. Rebuilt calipers, fresh pads and rotors were desperately needed. BC Racing BR "Super Strut" coilovers Feel WAY better than the blown as Teins it had previously. Cusco 2-way LSD, This dif made the car feel alot more consistent driving off the rear end. And to finish it up some Nitto Tire NEO Gen's and Rotiform ROC-H's. I need to space the rear a tad but overall the car feels SOOO much better!

    I've used to read up and watch videos on how clutch type LSD work. But that is a far better break down into the clutch disc and what you can do with them is awesome

  • @TailoredChassisSolutions

    @TailoredChassisSolutions

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@tougedriver8358 there is certainly a lot of misunderstanding around clutch type diffs, once you realize exactly how much adjustability they can have (depending on brand as well for 1, 1.5, 2 way adjustability) between plate stacking, preload and breakaway, as well as chemical adjustment (friction modifier to REDUCE total friction) it becomes a great choice of diff! Helical and Viscous have their place as well but clutch type is really the best for finite tuning and mixed use while not sacrificing peak performance

    I bought my ST205 from a guy in Calgary. I am quite familiar with rusted bolts and the problems associated. SeaFoam Deep Creep penetrating oil is the best I have ever come across. If you can let it sit overnight, try to and it'll make things much, much easier.

    Tuerck please keep posting videos like this 👍🏻🙏🏻! Extremely sorry to see your brand new FD car crashed the way it was. I really appreciated your kind words via Instagram regarding Branden. He’s an extremely talented driver (one that has been bullied in a sense) and like you said “shit happens”. Unfortunately. I’m sure Dom and Papadakis will get it fixed up in no time. Really want to see the chaser build go down though. I would love to see you build that car either like LZ’s drift or street chaser. It would also be cool to see you do some videos with Jimmy Oakes and TommyFYeah. Also, if you haven’t seen TommyFYeah’s videos showing him use the dry ice blaster, it’s insane.

    You don't need to whack the brake discs. Theres a hole in each disc to insert an 8mm bolt. Just spray some WD40 into the hole, screw the bolt in and out a little bit at a time to clean out the thread, then tighten it in completely. The disc will just pop off no matter how rusted on it is.

    From memory, you need an extra engine mount and will obviously need all the loom and ecu. They're stupidly expensive engines now, honestly easier to just save up and get a GT4 while they're not too insa Ely expensive. Prices have come down a bit now.
