I would think it's the non minorities who doesn't understand, especially knowing American history alone...I'm black and American btw and I have to constantly teach people about race and nationality! This African descended woman from the Latin nation of The DR is a beautiful representation of Afro Latina and did a great job of explaining the term👍👍👍

She is beautiful :). I am a black Brazilian (lighter skinned) who grew up in the US. I don't understand the black/Latino identity crisis that many Latinos have. In Brazil, most black Brazilians proudly identify as such. I find it odd that blacks in the Spanish speaking countries like the Dominican Republic somehow try to deny the obvious. Kinda weird.

As cool as it was to hear her proudly admit to and identify herself with being a black ("brown" technically) woman and even low-key call out the hypocrisy of dark-skinned dominican women (and the majority of latin people in general) denying where their skin color truly originates from, she should definitely do more to cater to black ("brown") people as much as she does to latin people. Every piece of beneficial and helpful info and advice should be offered to black ("brown") people the same as it is to latin people.
