don't think I would have liked to be mentioned in this list, (although it was funny, and I know its a joke). But I can imagine people thinking about it as some kind of prophecy. "Hey this is the year they joked about me dying. But of course it was only a joke, wasn't it? I mean it WAS a joke surely..."

lol Willard Scott went on to live 22 more years after he was supposed to die! Sadly, did not make it to 100 like the people of his Smucker's birthday segments on the Today Show.

If it's the Willard Scott I'm thinking of (The original Ronald McDonald) I don't get the rap wars joke either the only two things I can think of are he had an issue with McDonalds after he was fired and replaced for being to fat or the fact he was he hosted the Pillsbury Bake Off on CBS why he was contracted to NBC

At the time he was a middle-aged white guy who did weather reports, bad puns, and centenarian birthday wishes (picture Bill Murray in Groundhog Day--except Scott seemed to enjoy it) on the Today Show, i.e., the least likely semi-celebrity to be involved in an East-West rap battle.
