That is so exciting - we still remember our first cruise almost 20 years ago! Which cruise line are you sailing with and what are your ports of call?

Finally! A fantabulous video with the in-depth details I have been searching for! Every video I have found before this one has made me so sick within 15-20 seconds! (I hope this isn’t foretelling of motion sickness on board!) Thank you so much for all the time and effort in making/sharing this video! Excellent job!

Great in-depth video...I'm so happy I happened upon you both. We have been on the Reflection three times before (a total of 17 Celebrity cruises 🙂) and we will be sailing on her again in an October back to back with the second leg being our first Transatlantic. Our absolute favorite cabin is the aft corner Sky Suites on the Solstice class! Counting the days til the cruise! Thanks again for refreshing my memory and I look forward to your future content.

We've booked an aft corner sky suite on a cruise in Dec. Will be our first time on the Reflection and in an aft and sky suite. If you don't mind me asking, why do you like the aft corner SSs so much? TIA.

We love the aft corner sky suites for the size of the cabin, the wrap around corner balcony and the extra port hole side window. You get wonderful views of the aft wake and the side of the ship. Also being at the far end of the ship, it is quiet. Another reason for the quiet is that the cabin and one other aft cabin next to it share a private little lobby with its own door off the hallway. Would you say this is a fun ship ?? Ideal for 2 sisters (mid forties). Only ever cruised with Tui which are fun but ships are quite basic!

It depends on what you like and your definition of fun. For us, the Celebrity Reflection was lots of fun - but we are not looking for waterslides or belly flop contests on the pool deck. There are lots of activities throughout the day during sea days and we always create our own fun in the ports. We enjoy the evening fun on Celebrity with things like deck parties, silent disco and ABBA Parties. There are lots of great shows and musicians on board and we are never lost for something to do. However, like any cruise line the demographic will shift depending on cruise length - the longer the cruise the older the passengers seem to be. Our experience with Celebrity is that the average age can range from 50-60 but that also depends on itinerary and time of year. We have been on some longer cruises in the fall where the average age seemed to be well into the 60s. For us, that demographic is just fine and we have lots of fun with people we meet onboard! Only you can decide what works for you - but we sure are glad we gave Celebrity a try!

Thanks! We are not sure on the dates for Reflection’s revolution - but given that it went to dry dock last fall it could be a couple of years before it goes back again.

@@DocksideTravel thanks. Understood it was originally scheduled for Feb. '23, but was then delayed indefinitely. Was hoping they'd get it done before an upcoming on her in Dec. Would love for their to be a dedicated Retreat area on deck 16 like some others. Thanks again.

how was this ship. is it better than royal Caribbean

We loved the ship - but whether you like it more than Royal will depend on what you are looking for in a cruise vacation. We loved Royal and then discovered Celebrity after. For us the atmosphere and vibe on Celebrity suit us well but you may be looking for more action and adventure activities onboard which is something where Royal excels. We would definitely say Royal is better for families with younger members in the travel party, but Celebrity is great for couples and those looking for somewhat smaller ships. We are booked on the Liberty of the Seas in a few weeks, followed by the Celebrity Equinox right after so we will have an opportunity to get a side by side comparison then!

Sailing on this ship January of 2025. Don’t like that there is smoking at all on the ship.

If you avoid the Mast Bar (starboard side), Sunset Bar (Port side - Aft) and Deck 5 (mid-ship exterior - Port side) it should be ok. Enjoy your cruise!
