Love this visit to Taino Bay in Puerto Plata. Nothing like a fairly "free port day" where you aren't committed to a time schedule and you can just relax.

All I can say is wow! Taino Bay looks amazing!! Hopefully can find a cruise that docks at the Puerto Plata slot.

So proud of Taino Bay in my beloved Dominican Republic! My country have work so hard to open one of the biggest cruise ports in the Caribbean. I remember growing up and visiting Puerto Plata all the time. Glad you enjoy your day! Come back and visit us

Loved all your videos of CELEBRITY INFINITY! I am interested because we will be taking a cruise soon on this ship. I especially enjoyed this video of Taino Bay in which most everything was FREE!!!!!! Quite the opposite of the port in Bimini where all was quite expensive! We don't usually get off the ship much anymore, but if the day is pleasant we most definitely will check out Taino Bay in Puerta Plata! This will be our very first cruise since the pandemic. We usually cruise around 6 times a year, but haven't been ANYWHERE since the NORWEGIAN ENCORE in March 2020!!!!!!!⛴⛴⛴

Definitely, I think is prettier than Costa Maya!

We were there in Feb on the Millennium and there was no entrance to the pool such as a ladder or steps! You had to hold onto the side of the bar to get in. Hubby has 2 fake knees and it was very difficult. Plus the pool had a lot of floating paint in it! It’s great to see that they have continued to improve!!! Beautiful area and can’t wait to go back!!!

My parents have a cockatoo (the white bird). They love to do that head Bob dance thing. My parents thinks my son (who is now 25) is her son and sometimes tries to feed him. 😂

Our brother-in-law had a cockatoo fall in love with him at Parrot Mountain in Tennessee, and the dance party was intense!! :P

Its nice to have : Carnival corp. ( Amber cove Port ) / Taino Bay - port area , for other cruise lines

Always good to have a few options for these port visits, sort of like Mahogany Bay versus Coxen Hole, etc. :D

Beautiful port. Is this a “Celebrity cruise only” port?

Your usual high quality video photography, guys. The “silent disco” seems anything BUT silent. Are silent discos like that across all cruise lines? Were I to begin cruising, Celebrity might be my choice.

Most of the external soundtrack of the “silent” disco is feet stomping, people singing different songs at the same time, etc. That’s half the fun, ha ha!! :P

They’re developing some spots like this in Freeport, but we’ll be curious to see how the Nassau port construction turns out!!

They knew what they were doing when they made it a wade up bar instead of a swim up bar, because I've never seen anyone at a swim up bar get up to take a bathroom break.

No, they operate for tips. No official charge to use them at most ports.

It got a little busier toward the afternoon, but it was super quiet overall that day!!

Why does everyone think that you need to have noisy music at every pool? Looks lovely, but I'd never go. I like my pools with music some of the time and not loud.

She is a lovely lady n that photo does not do her justice.

Nice! We do try to describe specialty dining food, but we don’t have any interest in getting into specifics for MDR food necessarily. Hah, I think those photos have been the same since our first cruise vlogs seven years ago. It might be time for a refresh!! :P

We might give it a whirl on a future visit to Taino Bay. Looks like it was about $25 per person for a half hour of hanging out in the monkey enclosure, from some articles we’ve seen from late 2021. The pricing may have changed since then.

Worst beach and weather ever at all inclusive in Puerto Plata a few years ago! Poured all week and so much trash on beach it was terrible!

We’ve only tried one all-inclusive beach pass in Puerto Plata, which was a Sunscape property. Their beach was nice, but the amount of vendors strolling by to sell their wares was pretty high. We spent most of the day in the pool since we didn’t really need any t-shirts, jewelry, carvings, cigars, and whatnot. :P
