I was just a 7year old girl when this happened , now older remembering and now seeing the passion these men and women my parents included had is heart warming ! Left such an effect i had a tattoo of Knowledge is Power on my wrist and look at it everyday for inspiration !! Proud to be a Ceiber girl

I cut this film back in the eighties with Andrea Williams. It left a lasting impression......content is all - wonderful people.

I’m a tynte boy. When they closed the pit They closed our valley. Very very sad. I respect every miner

i was only a kid when this happened by i remember it like it was yesterday , sad times

Great video but it was domed in the mid 1960's. The market for coal was falling, I could have had a job in the phurnacite plant up the valley in 1973, but was told by family that worked in the industry that it had ten years max .So I took an apprenticeship on the railways. Tower open cast is now gone.
