Cedric Ceballos: The NBA All Star who didn't start in high school | Forgotten Player Profiles

Спорт

Cedric Ceballos played 11 years in the NBA which were unfortunately marred by injuries, he played on some great teams including a team that made it to the NBA Finals. However, his path to the NBA was not an easy one and there were probably times where he didn't think he'd even make it. But he had a unique skillset that allowed him to fill it up on offense with his skill and athleticism, but also be someone that every team has a spot for with his incredible hustle. He made a questionable decision in the prime of his career that could be looked at as something that changed the trajectory of his career, but altogether he averaged 20 points multiple times in his career and can call himself an NBA all star, which not many else can. So, today we're going to talk about the one they called the Garbage Man, Cedric Ceballos.

I could do Norm Nixon. From Pittsburgh. Stayed home and played for Duquesne. Drafted by the Lakers. An excellent player. He was in the movie The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh starring Dr J. Met Debbie Allen on the set of that movie in 1978. They got married a few years later when Fame the tv series was on. They're still married today. Nixon got in a dispute with Pat Riley so Riley wanted him to play in the summer league. Norm Nixon refused so he was traded to the San Diego Clippers for Byron Scott. The End

Great vid. When going to Long Beach St., I always wished we had Ceballos. When watching Horton Tucker (when he was on the Lakers) and his moves around the basket and using the glass, he reminded me of Ceballos. I'm surprised he never averaged in double figure rebounds because in some games it seemed like he was getting that just in offensive boards.
