    "If someone in your party doesn't walk fast enough, just leave them in the dust" I feel this. I don't walk fast out of excitement, I just naturally walk quickly. I love going to theme parks with my family, but I feel bad because I naturally walk much faster than they do.

    Hi! Quick update to the entry gates. Both the Magnum and Beach gates are open 9-10 for Breakers and Light House Point guests ONLY. The Valravn gate is open 9-10 for marina guests only. Everyone else must use the main entry gate. 2023 early entry only includes Gatekeeper and Wild Mouse coasters and nearby flats!

    My first two times going to cedar point i stayed a local campground called Crystal Rock Campground. It's about a 20 minute drive away from the park but the staff are super friendly and they offer a lot for their campers. They have cabins, RV spots, and places to set up tents. They have showers, flushable toilets, a playground for the kids, gem stone mining, mini golf, a rec room with a pool table and other games, and they sometimes will have various events for the campers as well. One of my favorite things about the campground is that it's super close to a drive thru animal Safari where you can hand feed several animals right from your car window, called African Wildlife Safari. There's also a deer park nearby where you can hand feed deer. When i go to Cedar Point i usually stay in the area for multiple days and do things other than just go to Cedar Point 😅

Plus when I saw this being discussed within the community, people were pissed and certainly weren't acting like they expected more to be announced. Honorable mention to Wolf Inn located on Milan rd in Sandusky. It's $49 plus tax per room per night regardless of day of the week even in the summer. There's no frills but has an outdoor pool and cool little skeletons and still has the basics like internet, ice, a bed, a shower, and a mini fridge and microwave. My summer 2022 girlfriend Marissa and I stayed there 3 times and we enjoyed it just as much as the expensive Baymont on Cleveland street.

    I know this won't be helpful for most people, but if you have the ability to go by boat, Cedar Point also has a very nice marina with transient docks, and you get the same early entry perks that you would from staying in one of the Cedar Point hotels. It is right across the street from the Valravn gate, which is easy to walk to from the dock. There are also free shuttles that can take you to Cedar Point Shores or the beach. It's also very nice to be able to go take a break on the boat during the day. If you buy a gold pass you get a discount at the marina, too. We have a 50' boat and pay about $100/night. The Cedar Point gas dock is usually one of the cheapest around, too.

    I don't know if you or anyone else in the comments has mentioned it, but Thursdays during Halloweekends are the best for minimal crowds during a busy part of the year. The park is only open for a few hours, but you'll have time to do the big three multiple times Last year we went on a Thursday that was pretty cold out, like 30-40 degrees and all lines were twenty five minutes or under. Did Maverick x4, Millennium Force x2, Steel Vengeance. Rougarou, Raptor and Valravn had no waits. Also did multiple flat rides with zero wait. I walked right on Rougarou and was the only one on the entire ride lmao It was 100% worth it, also being able to ride everything in the dark was super cool

    fast pass plus is $199 per person on the weekends. Fast past for halloween attractions are separate and is $90 per person. The cabins and cottages can have a lot of bugs outside and inside. There are also snakes. The melt and grill is not on the all day meal plan. We didn't try the new grand pavilion restaurant. Halloweekends hours are 11am to 12 am. We always share our meal plan and drink plan because it's enough when eating every 90minutes. Also Hugo's, farmhouse, and backbeatque don't seem to mind you going up several times for a refill on your drink.

    If it's your first visit to the resort and you're staying at one of their on-site hotels, I suggest you need two and a half days there. The first half is for your day of check-in because you get into the park for the rest of the day after 4:00 p.m. The next day would be for a full day in the main park, and for the final full day, start off at the main park, get your hand stamped upon exiting and head over to Cedar Point Shores for as long as it takes to do everything there, and then head back into the main park from the rest of the day. If you want to include Castaway Bay with your visit, only do it if you know you're going to do the indoor waterpark more than once. It doesn't look like a full day waterpark, and I think you can easily make the most of your time by spending a couple hours there after each day in the park.

    I always buy the all day diner plan, one thing I struggle with of two things. One burnt out on hot dogs for my kids what are other restaurants that offer beyond hot dogs, the Italian place when first entering the park is decent. The second problem is my kids love snacks. I find it hard to find the places on the food planning that offer ice cream ,cotton candy and popcorn. Those three items are offered on all day dining but finding the actual stands are frustrating . I usually end up spending $10 more for dipping dots. The pop is what really makes it worth the $45. Next year I will invest in the season pop…. And I am a big fan of season passes esp when on sale for $99. I have been about 5 times this far season because of the season pass and will be back again for halloweekends. So any tips on the snacks stations and better food choices would be great !!! I try to eat healthy, greasy foods and rides don’t mix 😂😂

    from my own experience I'd say that if you only want to go for the high thrill coasters and you don't care about anything else in the park, if you go in all of May or the last week of August, you dont need a fast pass and one day at the park is enough, given you only have to drive a couple hours to get there. this video seems a bit absolutist for my taste and i would encourage anyone watching it to deviate slightly from the advice given here to try it out for themselves

    I feel like an absolute life hack would be going on a day that's supposed to rain but doesn't. My home park is Canada's wonderland and when we did this in may there were no more than 15 minute waits AT MAX throughout the whole day. (If there were any waits longer, they must've been hard to find bc we never waited longer than that aside from yukon only bc it had a bad delay but we got on everything)

    I've spent a LOT of days at the point and I have the answer no one will believe on the best time to ride SV. The answer is actually between 1pm and 3pm! Do not EVER believe the posted wait times, they purposely double and sometimes triple them to move people to other areas of the park. NEVER go in the morning, unless you've never ridden it before and it's a must do over other rides. I've done probably 60 days at the point since SV opened and I can confirm this to be true about 90% of the days.

  • @brteller

    @brteller

    The logic behind this is that rush of morning people build the line to 2 to 3 hours, then everyone moves on after that. The demand diminishes greatly after the morning rush, so plan around that and hit Maverick first in the morning. My favorite move is to do MF, (Iron Dragon if you really want), Maverick, Sky Hawk and then SV. That typically lines up well and I get repeats on each, Raptor has some nice bonus points if you start from the front.

    Depends on when you’re visiting. Weekdays most Likely no, weekends - yes. But what others have done is this - get the fast lane for the busier day and the other day don’t get it and just ride the stuff you enjoyed the most when you have the fast lane. Like the first day don’t get it - then fhe 2nd day get it

    I would first like to tell you how my trip to Busch Gardens Tampa went. It was OK though my husband and I are visually impaired. And the part manager or so I think that’s what he was was very rude to us, and said that they have a policy against letting people who cannot see ride the rides, unless they have a cited companion but I am also commenting to say I am planning to visit Cedar point with my husband later this summer for my birthday. How is hotel breakers for navigating? I tried to ask people that work there and they claimed not to know. I figured I would ask you since you have been there before my husband has been to Cedar point, but stayed offsite when he went before 5:21

    Also, don’t go with someone that says they’ll ride the rides with you, and then not want to ride after you get to the park. I drove for over 8 hours (from Kentucky to Ohio.) I didn’t enjoy one single second of the 4 hours we at the park. Chick caused me to waste a lot of money. Needless to say her and I no longer talk ( and it’s not because of the trip) but a culmination of a lot of other things.

    But, I’d get to cedar point at 3 pm. Wouldn’t the crowds be big? And also I’d miss early entry. Also, if I were to arrive late, would that be enough time to go to the park. You said atleast 2 days. Arriving at 3pm would be 1 and a half days. But, if I were to get fast lane plus, would 1 and a half days be enough?

    I just booked my vacation and I'm staying at sawmill creek. It was the cheapest of the 4 properties but I really think the properties are a scam and you'll save a ton of money staying at a cheap hotel and just pay for parking. Early entry isn't worth it.
