The pricing differs for season passes depending on the park. I highly recommend to anyone looking to safe money, to check out different parks passes. For example at Michigan Adventure, you can get the Gold Pass plus the all Parks Pass for $225. All the water parks are included, free parking is included as well at all locations. However, some of the perks I’m still not quite sure about. I would check out Carowinds, & Kings Dominion as well. They have cheaper passes too. Cedar Fair just updated their terms and conditions on the 1st, so everything is laid pretty clear now.

Good point! Yes the cheapest place to get passes was Canada’s wonderland last year and a lot of cedar point guests opted for it. One thing to consider is that those people were also excluded from Passholder preview at cedar point since it was limited to only cedar point pass holders, so those who opted for other parks were not able to attend as apart of their pass. I’m not sure if this will continue post merger but something to consider

That’s awesome! I always recommend first time pass holders to get gold, and if they love it, upgrade to prestige for additional benefits! Glad to hear that you will be upgrading from platinum prestige! It’s nice you can add the all park pass port on whenever you want!

Hi! Yes you do get early entry with Prestige Pass . Gold does not get early entry. This does apply to halloweekends and it’s 1 hour early. If you purchase all park on your gold pass, it might function the same as platinum did for early entry, but I would check with cedar point to confirm if gold with all park passport will be included for early entry.

It looks as though if you buy a gold pass with the all park pass you get early access.... can i ask how did you work the season passes with you and your family.... did you all buy season passes or did you just buy one season pass and buy bring a friend for everyone else? thanks I'm trying to figure out the best way for myself and my son (and likely some of his buddies) at most 3 times a year.... I'm wondering if it best to just buy one pass (gold or prestige) for myself and just buy bring a friend passes for my son and his friends@@kerney-cation

Also if I get like prestige ticket or pass how many family can it be used upto say it can used upto 8 family member or something

So that is likely for the bring a friend discounted tickets. They probably have a limit on the number of discounted tickets you can buy. You get 2 free bring a friend tickets per year.

Happy New Year. I am seeing that Cedar Point is almost $100 more for the Prestige Pass plus all the All Park Passport compared with Carowinds . I am thinking that there can't be the same perks for all parks with the Passport or there would not be a price discrepancy .

Yeah it’s kind of tricky between the parks! Some people have gotten their passes from canadas wonderland even though cedar point is their home park! I’m wondering if the merger with six flags goes through next year if it will add some more consistency between the parks. They also see each park as a “regional park”. Those with the all park passport are a lower population, but I think more people should consider it since it’s such a great value!

What if you buy the season pass in the middle of the year. Does it expire at the end of the year still or does the price change.

Early entry is NOT exclusive to Prestige, gold pass with the all parks addon also gets early entry. The regular gold pass without the all parks addon does NOT get early entry. Personally IDK why anyone would get a prestige pass over gold and all parks addon, its just too expensive for the perks it offers

Resort guests, Marina guests, prestige pass, and platinum pass holders all get early access to Cedar Point in 2023. I have not seen any announcement for the all park passport and early entry for 2024 yet on Cedar points site but I will keep an eye out for it during the off-season to confirm if gold with all park passport will be included for early entry! I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t, since it’s essentially platinum pass. However I wouldn’t be surprised if this perk went away for platinum/all park to help drive prestige sales. These special passes are only renewable after October. A special code is sent out to us and re can renew online for the next year. I tried to add the Platinum benefits but it wasn't available. But this "passport" option sounds possible. Thanks

Yes you can. You have to go to guest services at your home park. That’s what we did the first year we got it. It was a PAIN. lol 😂

I decided to give this prestige pass a go for 2024. I am a long time platinum pass holder which I liked as it were. In general I don’t know how much is gained with prestige aside from the lounge access for additional seating options while at the park but if it’s only going to be accessible for the park your pass is tied to even with all park access added on (or passport now) if you cannot enjoy all the prestige perks across the parks in the chain it’s kind of a weaker offering and I don’t see the real value unless you’re at the home park two or more times a month while it’s open for the season. However I think the real fun begins when 2025 comes up what all this will look like, cost, what perks will it include with the additional parks that could make up the park chain going forward if the merger is approved also. Could all this go away or be rebranded and more convoluted and costly? Probably

Hey Sabir! Thanks for watching and the comment! I usually recommend first time season pass holders to go gold and if they are going to visit more parks get the all park passport. If they love the experience with their season pass, I think they will be happy with the prestige pass. Honestly my favorite perk is preferred parking. It’s the only perk I use EVERY time I visit cedar point. The 15% off is nice and so is the lounge in the water park and the theme park. But we don’t always visit the lounge since when we visit we only visit for a few hours at a time. The single use fast lane is also great since I can hop on a ride while the wife hangs out in the lounge with them. Overall if you love cedar point you will love the prestige pass . And now with the all park passport , other parks will allow you to use prestige benefits at other parks that are not your home park. I don’t think the price is going to increase much with the merger since six flags season passes actually cost less, if anything six flags season pass holders will see their season pass price go up. But I think they will need to be careful early on since the six flags customer base is not likely to want to pay more until they see a return on investment from a better guest experience.

@@kerney-cation good evening Kerney Thank you for giving me an overview of what the varied pass options and offerings typically provides. I decided to upgrade to the prestige pass when I renewed for 2024 with the passport add-on. I have visited the more popular parks in the chain the most each season but not many of the parks had the prestige lounge and perks so much this season. I look forward to its offering and I’ve long been a fan of the legacy paramount parks and cedar point but Knott’s is also great tbh. As for the merger impact, I would have to agree with your honest take. Agree that the usual six flags passholders aren’t likely to entertain significantly increased passes without the bargain bin discounts you get at six flags parks on avg. I have the phased out diamond elite pass for six flags parks (I live in NYC) so great adventure is the closer park for me but I get over to OH each year to do the cedar fair parks and sometimes head down to VA for KD. I am curious to see what happens with the passes aspects. Six flags took away all the we get with the old Diamond elite passes for the non holders of that pass so I’m holding on to it as long as I can lol. I also hope we don’t see an erosion of the quality we’ve come to appreciate about the cedar fair parks once the dust settles. The typical six flags park atmosphere is nothing like what I enjoy about the cedar fair parks I visit each year.

Hello! Yes our kids have gotten into the VIP lounge with pre k passes no problem. Officially, I am not sure what Cedar Points stance is on it, but I’ve never had an issue. I have reached out to Cedar Point for comment, and I will post another comment here once I hear back!

Hey Amanda, I just heard back from Cedar Point and they confirmed that if your kids have a prek pass they can join a prestige pass holder in the VIP, so you should be good to go!

How do you receive the free bring a friend tickets?

Recommendation is the ticket booth out front of the park since they will give you a receipt. Hang onto it since it will be required to enter the VIP lounge now. You can also just ask when they scan your pass at the gate, but you won’t get the receipt and may be denied access to some prestige perks for your guest like the VIP lounge

For the prestige pass? When you scan it should have your photo with it. But if you’re buying alcohol in the prestige lounge, yes they do.

Yes, they will have access to the following Prestige benefits while with the passholder: Preferred entrance, early entry, access to the Cedar Point VIP area and Cedar Point Shores VIP area. However it does not mention the single use fast lane . I’ll reach out and find out.
