My favourite thing about Cecilia Bartoli is that in every song she sings, you can just see and hear her immense passion for music. Her face lights up. BRAVA!!

People don't seem to understand Cecilia is one of the few coloraturas that didn't scoop at the last high C6. That takes pure skill and talent and just shows she has incredible breathing technique.

There's a video of her singing a high E flat relaxed as if she Was playing.

It took me many years to appreciate Bartoli. I originally found her excessively mannered and I couldn't stand her. Well, I now adore her. She's authentic, has fabulous technique, and expresses the music to me perfectly.

Marly Harris it took me 3 seconds to appreciate Bartoli .. one day listening in the radio bel raggio .. from Semiramis .. did not know who she was until the very end where her name was mentioned .. Bartoli !!?? Then she earned a follower

it took me a long time to understand & appreciate Opera, but when I did it hit me like a ton of bricks! The most difficult instrument in the world is the voice. It does not last forever & thank heaven for the recordings they leave behind! Cecilia Bartoli is an extremely gifted person with a personality to match!

I love her. I always have. She's so exuberant when she sings! No one can question her intelligence and technique. She seems to get so much pleasure in what she does and it shows!

The coloratura is spot on, one of the best I've heard! And i find her facial expressions and the way she acts on stage just precious :)

Playing this rendition through loud speakers causes angels to frolic in your backyard.

Her pure joy, I believe she would be as happy doing anything she believed in doing. Her joy in performance is so genuine. Bravo Cecelia! Your joy is contagious, and I hope you can feel how it spreads out across the world!

I just love her not only because she's so extraordinary but also because she is the music. She's become one with it, and I think Mozart would be jumping up and down hysterically after her performances.

She has more fun with her own face than Jessye Norman does, and that is saying a lot. I love this woman's spirit. Her technique is so flawless and her musicality so intelligent, yet her whole manner is so unaffected.

Look at the happiness on her face while she's singing,but also after she's finished. This is a true artist, the one who feels the sound, the song,each note from the depth of her heart. Bravo!!!

Yes! It’s almost like she can’t believe what’s coming out of her mouth, it’s so gorgeous! She is wonderful.

I absolutely adore this woman. The sheer joy she expresses through her voice is incomparable. He face shows the pleasure she receives from her music.

truly amazing, she really enjoys it 100000 singers can do this part but only ONE can do it this way, she is truly unique and a pure talent

People must understand that operatic singing/classical voice is a full body workout. With the piece at this speed - which I believe is how Mozart would’ve had it and how Classical musicians then would interpret it - the singer must have the technique to sing this quickly and still keep the integrity of the tones and lyrics. I believe Bartoli has done that very well. Many of her facial expressions and body movements are typical of someone singing bright, lively, and very quickly. Others are her own voluntary addition. Bartoli has very good technique, expresses the vivace of the piece, and - in my opinion - articulates and moves through the notes beautifully. Her pronunciation here and there can be debated. But overall, well done.

Some people can dislike her glottal technique, her funny faces or her "aleluyeh" pronounciation, but her joy in singing is contagious !!! I love her !!!

This concert was held in Germany, during the celebration of the Mozart Year. Cecilia was asked to replace some other singer that called in sick. Without any rehersal she stood there and did more then a great job, brava !!

I've never heard a coloratura mezzo-soprano who was better than Bartoli! Her coloratura is unbeatable.

What wonderful stage presence and agility of voice

I bought a compilation cd and this was one of the selections! I played it over and over, thinking it really is jubilation! I see her now and she looks appropriately happy to sing this song. I became a fan after hearing this song.

May we all be as enthusiastic in our Amens, as this wonderful musician, and as full of passion and joy in our work, be that in music, or anything else. Bravo Ms. Bartoli, bravo indeed!

like a vocal waterfall. Amazing technique. Why do mezzos get no respect? There's more to life than just super high notes, it's about the full range of musical range of expression. The joyfulness in her voice is there even when she speaks, I learned this when I got to meet her. She's just a happy person, so rare.

In general, I love her voice. One thing that always gets me: her facial expressions. She cracks me up. I love her. : )

I just listened to Sarah Brightman's rendition of this on You Tube. Yes, she hit all the right notes in tune and in sync with the orchestra, but no FIRE, no sense that she really was exsulting and shouting Jubilate: could have been at a funeral. But Cecilia REALLY DOES. She rocks. The eyes, the motion, the energy- OMG! I didn't have to die to go to heaven.

She is so gifted and she feels the music so perfectly that she does not need to have a single look at the conductor! Bravo!!!

I certainly wouldn't mind having her combination of voice, personality, beauty and youth and all the 'luck' she's had in being able to develop her talents. She's simply stunning.

Really! She conveys pleasure and a sense of sheer joy, which enhances her performance for me. I suspect that Mozart would be pleased. I am.

I never fail to be amazed at how people can criticise and ridicule great singers. They should just shut up and feel privileged to be in the presence of great Masters like Mozart and Bartoli.

Cecilia is undoubtedly one of the greatest ever coloratura mezzo-sopranos. Her version is outstanding. Full of joy, exciting and colourful.

So whenever my mind gets turbulent, whether depressed or misandric or misanthropic or self-hating or self-pitying or good intentions thwarted or hopes dashed or you name it, I either listen to some beautiful Buddhist mantras or watch Cecilia Bartoli sing.
