That was amazing!
I was able to be the trail angel at that CDT water cache this past summer. It was really cool to see it being appreciated in your video. Driving through the Basin seems like it takes forever. I can’t imagine walking it. However, when it isn’t a rainy day I consider it a sky globe. The sky is different and beautiful in every direction. Glad you’re back. :)

Finally! I was wondering if we would ever get to see more of the CDT Series. Glad to see you back Darwin.

Enjoy!!!
My favorite trail to watch hiker videos. CDT, the best.
This just looks awesome, beside the rain.
YEA!! I am so glad to see you are continuing this series, THANKS. Loved this one. Wow, 58 mile day, you all are unreal.
We ran into each other heading into Big Sky! Glad to see you got around to posting more CDT footage!
So glad you are back. You're channel was the 1st backpacking channel I ever saw. But don't burn yourself out with YT. Much respect.
Even though you may not have been feeling inspired to put these videos out for a while, I hope you know that your films set the standard for excellence!
Sooo glad you’re back, Darwin!
Your videos always inspire me to get out there again. Great video!
Thanks for sharing your journey! Can’t wait to see the next one!
Freaking Awesome Darwin! Thanks for sharing the rest of your CDT adventure with us! Happy Trails! 🥾

More to come!
After so long away still over 300k subs. You sure have a faithful audience.
Nice to see you in your element again!😊
Nice! "The 58 to Rollins with Meow & Crew" A Steamboat Soak & rootbeer float will be soon good.
Nothingness seems like a great thing to me right now 🤘🏻. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
What a time to hit my hometown; Rawlins
The basin is insanely beautiful holy
Yeah! Good to see this. I LASH'd the CDT NOBO the same year. (I came into Pinedale the same day you left apparently; sorry we didn't meet!) Regarding the Great Divide Basin: I had a different experience than you and a lot of others. Admittedly, I am biased since I lived in Casper, Wyoming in Jr and High School. The basin was a lot more varied than I anticipated and we saw lots of wildlife as well. Yes, you could see 15 miles occassionally. And since the CDT was (and is) my only thru hike attempt, I relished the challenges. Great spot to camp at the end. Looking forward to the next videos! Cougar Bait, LASH CDT '21
It was interesting to read about the enteric basin called Continental divide basin. My brother lives fairly close to Salt Lake City and is in the Great Basin. They are getting a good amount of snow but it's not snowboarding season yet for him. Last year they had really good snow. He like the area for snowboarding and I like Arizona for the sun. Hopefully I get to stay in the area for some time to come.
I know you felt like you were just making another hiker video, but nobody else makes like you do IMHO🙂. Always enjoy em'. Thanks.

Gotta say, great editing Darwin
That was worth the wait. The voice overs, the soundtrack, the videography, and the candid moments made for one of your better videos.

Thank You! ❤️
Great to see you publishing these videos again. You have a real gift and we all benefit from it! I like the voice over narration that you’ve added here and there. A small nuance but adds a lot. The Basin reminds me of the higher elevations of Nevada. Stark, isolated beauty and if you get lucky enough to have a day where the wind dies down, you might be able to hear your own heartbeat.
Thank you for dusting off this footage from a couple years ago! Knowing this was put together after you've had time to reflect on the experience, it feels even more like a mini-documentary. That process of introspection comes through in the video and is super relateable and fun to watch. Looking forward to future episodes whenever you get around to them.
Looking forward to see your next hiking video
I am so glad you are finishing these up Darwin! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I was stationed in Wyoming (FE Warren AFB) back in the 00s. People would find out in conversation and always tell me how beautiful Wyoming is. I would always snicker a little. People who've only ever seen pictures of Jackson Hole think that's what Wyoming looks like. I can say with absolute certainty, the whole eastern half of the state looks like the basin. East of Lander all looks the same. East of Laramie is nothing but flat, very windy, high plains.
Glad you're feeling better and able to share these again. Thanks!
Not gonna lie, I've missed your videos. So well crafted and thought out. I wish I could do the CDT after seeing this...sigh.
I love that you are brining this series back. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, thanks for taking us along! For the future, if I may, asa nutrition student I would recommend drastically increasing the protein intake to fight hiker's hunger. 1.6-2g of protein per kg (sorry I think in metric) would definitely help, while also helping with muscle recovery and much more... Also, a protein supplement is a very lightweight way to carry calories in the form of protein!
Totally forgot about this series so very happy that you decided to continue editing them :)
I’m so happy to see more of your CDT hike. Thanks for sharing.
Yay! Love your videos!

Excellent video. I enjoy this combination of voice over and taking.
Thank you for coming back to these, I was looking forward to this section.
Honestly I know you weren't particularly enjoying that trip, but you still somehow made The Basin look good. Almost enough to make me want to go see it! Maybe 😉 Thanks for sharing 😊
Great to see you back again Darwin. A fab episode as ever. Cheers matey. 🥾 🥾
Really excited to see the rest of these. Thank you.
I live right in that area and have spent countless hours driving around most of that territory. I can confirm, there is way more nothingness than you can imagine!! Ha. But there is a certain beauty to that, not to mention the vast majority of it is public land. It still amazes me how much land there is here in Wyoming with nothing man-made.
awesome video Darwin. thank you for sharing the rest of your journey on the continental divide trail.
So happy you're gonna finish your CDT videos Darwin. We're all waiting for the next one!
I had a cozy time at Mohican Sun yesterday
Great video. Enjoy seeing your adventures and storytelling. 👍👍
Great video, Darwin! So glad you’re doing videos of the rest of your cdt thru hike. Your editing is amazing and I always wish the episodes wouldn’t end. I just did a short (by your standards!) day hike with my 15 year old daughter on the CDT in Wolf Creek Pass area just outside of Pagosa Springs last week while on vacation out there and honestly was thinking of you while hiking. I’ve been following your adventures and gear videos now for many years as you are an inspiration-keep it up brother! One of my absolute favorite channels on KZread.

Great to see the following chapters of the CDT! 58 miles...that's insane! Wow! 🤩
For some reason I am looking forward to the Basin the most!
Yay!! Thanks for getting back to these :)
So glad you are making vlogs again Darwin.
This was one of the best videos 👍. I loved seeing the Reality of the basin
So wonderful to have you posting these videos! I just section hiked Battle Pass to Rawlins last weekend. It was amazingly beautiful in full fall colors. I can't wait to finish the Rawlins to Wind River section so I can get into the winds next summer!
Loved that ending view! Great video!

Great video even when there's not much to film 😆 Nice to see the end of your CDT videos. I'll be going Sobo next year (if I get my visa 🤞)
I enjoy your videos. I'm more of a camper than a hiker, but I like to at what you carry and how you travel.
One of the reasons I like bikepacking more than backpacking is I was able to tick off the basin in a day.
Gorgeous video! Big hit of nostalgia and wistfulness. I'm curious why you ditched the BeFree and went back to the Sawyer Squeeze.
58 miles wow, plenty

Yeah that's nuts.
58 miles is insane but I’ve driven thru that part of Wyoming and stopped in Rawlings for lunch in what turned out to be the most comically rundown diner I’ve ever been been to in my life. Sat down in the booth and the seats springs were so shot that my 5’7” self was basically at chin level with the table. That was our trip to rapid city sd. Colorado is beautiful. So is Wyoming in spots. But so much of Wyoming is endless grassland and industrial mining. Not they prettiest. But def unique
It’s about time i was feeling ripped off when you stopped posting your cdt thru hike.
Never heard Darwin cuss before 🤣
YAY!!!!!
Embrace the suck Darwin! You own it!
58 miles… wow! … makes me wonder what your best 24 hour challenge day was. You’re a beast! (Thanks so much for the wonderful content!)
Thanks for continuing this series. I noticed that you were wearing "over glasses" sunglasses. What brand are they and do you like them? I have a cheap pair but I'm always looking for better gear. Thanks again.
I was amazed by the nothingness when we drove through there after hiking in the Winds.
Antelope galore
I seen the Biggest group of Wild Horses out there
Imagine the despair of those traveling the Oregon Trail through Wyoming, and burying their dead along the trail. Bet they had some hiker hunger...
No Grizzlies! My kind of trail 🙌🏼
I've walked the basin twice sobo and nobo not as boring as described the landscape does change some
I loved the basin! All the horny toad lizards, wild horses, and pronghorn were mind-blowing! Boring is definitely subjective, and I can see how some people could get tired of it. I thought it was a welcome break for my knees from getting beat up by the Winds
Love to know more about how you wear sunglasses over glasses. Is that a specific brand that fits or are you just throwing them over the glasses?
4:38 Darwin urinates on his tent 😅

This video was shot a little over 2 years ago now 😂
am i weird for wondering how you go to the bathroom with any privacy on those wide open fields
How can you tell it’s an Aspen tree?
How long until episode 8? Damn dude. This must have been one real shitty hike for you. Those can actually make the best content though. Showing not just the good stuff, but how hard and not fun it can be also has appeal to your viewers. It makes you real. Hope to see the rest of this series at some point.
what happened? why is this the last video?
The trail is in the worst part(s) of the great divide basin. Which is too bad as it’s a very special place. I enjoy the nothingness of my backyard.
Is Meow a catboy?
I thought I was never going to see that part. Even if it is not as interesting as the other series, it's "part of the game" to have mind-drilling, boring sections.
