Gonna preorder it too, wasn't aware of the reissue till now.

I bought the Eternal Idol Deluxe Edition knowing that this album would not be included into the Tony Martin Box set. Great edition with a few bonus tracks /B-sides/ plus the entire Ray Gillen session.

Sabbath Martin era box set is long over due! I'm a fan of the first 2 Atrophy albums, But I'm skeptical on this one. Glad Rage is still going. More of a fan of the earlier stuff but checking out the newer videos as well. AIC rules! Been a fan from the early 90's and beyond. Need to pick up that EP on vinyl. Invinsible Shield rules! Can't stop spinning it ! Crazy that Priest is still going this strong this long in their career. I'm just like you. Can't resist anything by MF or KD! And yes let's get the new releases already!

Saw the KD vinyl and said ope gotta watch it haha. Man that Priest album really kickes this year and as you said, it's a #1 contender, and it's almost clinched it at this point for me as well. As for KD, man, I totally understand your frustration being such a fan and waiting 17 years, that's damn near my entire life and it just doesn't make any sense why it's taking so long. It's becoming his Chinese Democracy at this point.

Hey Darcy, killer update mate 🤘I recently found a cheap unofficial copy of Headless Cross and that is probably my favourite of that era so I’ll wait a year or so for the albums to be done individually. Thanks for the suggestion man I just picked up a copy of Sodom Decision Day as I never checked it out before. Atrophy I have coming on cd hopefully soon. Have a great week brother

Hey Darcy! Great update lots of great music for sure. I jumped all over the Black Sabbath box set on vinyl. I have everything from the Tony Martin era on cassette and cd, so I had to have those vinyl's! I just recently found a copy of Anthrax's Stomp 442 on cd. I would also say that White Noise is my favorite from the John Bush era, but I have really gotten to like Stomp quite a lot and, I think I may like it more. I was just wondering if you have heard the new Suicidal Angels album Profane Prayer yet? You got me hooked on those guys and I really like this new album. Darcy enjoy your new albums and as always, my friend stay heavy!

"Masquerade of Madness" is next on my list, along with the new re-issue of "No Presents for Christmas". Just received my new Black Sabbath CD Boxset "Anno Domini" Tony Martin Years boxset. It doesn't disapoint.

I agree, the length of time to get the new King Diamond out is definitely ridiculous. I would have thought during the pandemic he could have wrapped that up. Crazy.

There were a few reasons he said. He had his health issues, then they were prioritizing the remasters, then he was prioritizing working on the DVD, which took longer then expected because of tech. difficulties he was having transferring the video files.

Hi Darcy!!! another cool vinyl and cd update..... so cool to hear you have preordered the Sabbath boxset, it's way overdue, imo, the other one that's missing from the Tony Martin years is "Cross Purpose Live" maybe for the same reasons...... Hope you get those Anthrax reissues and glad to see the other German Panzer, the first one is a killer cd. New King Diamond studio album is also way overdue, had no idea it's been so long... cheers and be well

That Black Sabbath box over here is equivalent to 225 Canadian. Even though I have that Hellripper odds and sods cassette I've never listened to it you know. I'm going to watch another Canadian now. Michael J Fox - The Secret of My Success on DVD. I've never seen it believe it or not! Hope you get the CD Player sorted out 🤘

I just checked this morning, the LP set is $141. £82 is sure the hell better than £131, that’s just insanity! Yeah I’ll keep you posted, definitely don’t want to have to buy a new cd player 🤬

Just received 3 CDs by Demon Eyes , Killerhawk , TNT and 2 by Acid. Within the next couple of weeks I'll be getting the new My Dying Bride, the new Freeways and reissues of Medieval Steel and Slowly We Rot. Back in the 80s , my dad owned one of those huge satellites that he had installed in the backyard. Was able to watch the Pepsi Power Hour because of it. I remember being introduced to some great bands through that show .....Metal Church , Helix , Razor and Celtic Frost come to mind and I definitely remember the Killer Dwarves video . Seems like I remember seeing the Anthrax Madhouse video around the same time as well. Anyway , I loved the Pepsi Power Hour, awesome memories from back in the day. Wendy

Nice update there Darcy. Will look into the Atrophy album, I heard they had some release out this year but wasn't sure when. The Rage has some good moments on it , I didn't realise it was two different albums. A couple of cool additions for the King D collection, even though they are probably just to get money out of you. Enjoy the new music mate.

Im in tow minds about getting Atrophy - its average thrash , and not really Atrophy lol - im gonna get Rage on vinyl, love em ! I picked them King Diamond vinyls up too - brown vinyl and black white splatter - I already have no presents picture disc, but its KD innit - can never have too much

I am looking forward to pickup the new Rage and Accept as I am seeing both bands live in a few months. I have Big Deal by the Dwarfs and I think it's a banger of an album but have never heard the album you picked up. I would love to grab the new Priest on vinyl somewhere down the line if the price drops. Killer update mate😀🤘

A lot to unpack here lol. AIC = 2nd favorite band ever, so anything involving them gets a thumbs up from me. I dare say Jerry Cantrell is my favorite musician of all time. Glad you're enjoying the Atrophy album. That and the new Morbid Saint are my most spun albums this year. Both had 30+ year gaps between releases as well. I also just bought Defenders on vinyl...and I don't even own a record player lol. Finally, I've never listened to Rage but...twenty....six...albums!? Holy shit!!! I assume those 2 you showed would be good starting points? Cheers!!

I’m so excited for the Martin boxset I love all Sabbath. I know that’s blasphemy to some but it’s there lost. Been jamming that Rage album as well. Can’t believe he keeps writing good songs so many albums in amazing. 🤘

I've never owned any Killer Dwarves but I've checked out the first album on youtube and I like it a lot. I had all their music videos recorded on VHS when I was a kid. Their videos were hilarious and filled with humour. They got a lot of video play on muchmusic and videohits in Canada. I wish they kept the heavier edge they had on their first album. They still play and he still has a great voice. The thumb nail got me excited that the new King Diamond was out 😆

Speaking of kind diamond/mercyful fate, I actually picked up the denner/sherman album that came out on metal blade back in 2016. I listened to that and the ep they released and they are surprisingly good. It’s not kind diamond singing but the music is nice and heavy on it. Definitely worth checking out if you like mercyful fate. It’s a shame that guitar duo will probably never play again.

Could be something going on in the anthrax camp Darcey, maybe frank bello isn't too happy with being left at home while uncle Charlie is out making big bucks with the pantera tribute band.

Wow, another great update Darcy! Lots of upcoming reissues you'll be picking up. Awesome to see you picked up the latest Atrophy and Rage. Speaking about Rage; nice to see you picked up a few more albums from them. I'm not too familiar with Alice in Chains Jar of Flies. But I'm glad you got it on vinyl now. Lastly, Panzer are a band I heard of but never listened too. But I'm glad you also picked up some Panzer as well.

Good to see Peaceville are reissuing those earlier ‘Hellripper’ releases… hopefully it can get them out there to more ears! That new ‘Atrophy’ release is on my radar… I love there first two records! ‘Rage’ rule… such a solid band imo! Good to see you as always Darcy!

i checked out that Rage album from your commentvto me. I like it. Its like a cross between Metal Church and Tonello era Accept. Some nice chuggy riffs too. Hellripper kicks ass. I've been getting into a lot more "blackened" music lately. I hope one day they can come to Toronto. Their shows remind me of the bands i used to see at the Concert Hall and Siboney club way back in the day. The energy is insane. March was a killer month for metal. My top albums.. Lutharo, Priest, Necrophobic, Vltimas and Malphus.

Hey Darcy! love it when you bring up Rage....I got to get this new one. They're actually touring Canada or at least Eastern Canada for the first time ever in their career. Will definitely be picking up the Black Sabbath boxset. I already own originals of every Black Sabbath albums but just interested to hear what they sound like. I've found most Black Sabbath modern reissues nowhere near as good as the originals. I do own all the recent boxsets but I mostly buy them because I'm a huge Black sabbath collector. I haven't heard any of the new Atrophy songs but I'm familiar with their first 2 albums.

I know it’s not a studio album but the one I was really impressed with is Live Evil Remastered, that one I actually do think it sounds better than the original. Atrophy is worth checking out! Always good to hear from you 🤘 Cheers Jeff

@darcysixstringsninelives3493 I totally agree with you about the Live Evil remaster. It sounds awesome compared to the original but all the rest just sound flat, loud & a bit lifeless to me. Which is common with most of the modern reissues of old albums. Definitely might check out the new Atrophy because I always thought their first 2 albums were enjoyable & under-rated. Those Tony Martin Black Sabbath albums are better than what most people give them credit for. The only one I think is weak is Forbidden. It's just lacklustre & the songs themselves are average. Are the albums better than classic Ozzy, Dio era Sabbath...no but they are strong albums & in my opinion much better than the 13 album which sucks I reckon. To me that's the 2nd worst Black Sabbath album. Keep up the great videos Mate. 🤘 from Australia 🇦🇺

Yes, this King Diamond nonsense is ridiculous. That new track was released in 2019 and still no new album. I've pretty much lost interest at this point. 17 years between albums. This makes Tool look quick in the studio.

There’s a double disc reissue of The Eternal Idol out there which has the original album and the Ray Gillen version of the album. The Black Sabbath boxset is ridiculously expensive on pre orders in the UK and this has put me off getting it. I would have bought it but its too expensive for 4 CDs, a booklet and some tat. It’s not classic Sabbath, it’s nice to have but I watched an old documentary on Sabbath recently where they did not even bother to acknowledge the Tony Martin era. Yet now they want £100+ for a 4 CD boxset of it.

I just checked this morning on Amazon Canada & is only $75 for the cd set, that’s only £44. These price differences don’t make sense 🤬

Really looking forward to black Sabbath box set, love headless cross and eternal idol. The King Diamond album looks awesome.... but 2 tracks? I’ve enjoyed both songs Sebastian has released so far. The new Kerry King didn’t really blow me away. It just sounds like a Death Angel to me since Mark is on vocals and it’s a similar style (which isn’t a bad thing).

Great update! I’ve preordered the cd version of Anno Domini box set. Have the originals, but looking forward to hear the bonus tracks and the remixed version of Forbidden. The new Rage album is fantastic, love the heavy guitarsound, and the overall mix is perfect. I couldn’t agree more about the new King Diamond album. How long do we have to wait for it to arrive? Hi.Darcy, another great update. I'm looking at the sabbath boxset too. Unfortunately in the u.k it's going for around 130 pounds😢 that's about 230 Canadian dollars l, it's putting me off to be honest. Stop ripping off the fans. Grrr.

Still missing let there be rock and live. But anyway I figured this would be a good time to get the remasters on gold vinyl 🤘🏻

Going to get the Sabbath Box, even though i have all the originals, looking forward to the Forbidden remix. Also, I have pre-ordered the new Kreator vinyl/cd box set. I have been snapping up the Saxon - Music On Vinyl reissues, excellent sound and quality from them as usual. With the constant price rises i have had to cut back my record buying a lot now. So glad you like RAGE, another Noise band i have been with from the beginning. some excellent albums and some not so good. Are you going to do a RAGE ranking or have you already done one me ode?
