30 years ago..New York test used a 20 ton old Lorain with a 30 deg old jib. out of level machine and variable throttle...most failed..for 4 years.....I bought same crane and set up my own test..this nccco I passed in 2005 was great..just practice ,practice and relax..you can do it...

Jesus Christ this gives me confidence to run a crane. I work in marine construction and ran a friction crane on a barge that’s sinking with spuds moving 3000 pound anchors across the deck and spools of wire onto our work boat during our graveyard shift and this seems completely doable. Cant wait for my first crane operator course.

This is awesome 👌 question how far is the Obstacle course or how far is it setup to the crane..im Is practicing at work right now, I'll be going next week to Oklahoma for a week to get my crane license.. we got it setup at work with crane we have , and its really like 4 feetfrom the side of the crane i think we have real close to the crane what do you think.

@@SnapnCrack thanks man I'm a little nervous i been practicing the practical exam course at work for 2 days it has been really windy so it has been a challenge..i have been operating this crane we use here at work for over 8 months now.

@@gunenthusiast9201 For sure man, it’s a lot of information in a short time. If you haven’t already try and get a copy of the book and practice test if you can. Study to pass the test not to know everything cause there’s no way. I know for me repetition is key I just write shit over and over. I took quite a bit of notes and just really tried hard dude and if you do that you’ll be fine. It’s not crazy hard. I’m also kinda new to the industry so I knew/know very little to start

Check with crane sales and service in kck. They should be able to point you in the correct direction.

If your talking though the zig zag course. Whatever mins I said is what we had. Should be the same across the broad. Maybe he said 2 mins so you got it in 3 mins. Not sure but we had 3

It's different in some places but I heard 1 point every 5 to 10 seconds.

I go to take mine next week I hope I pass cause this is my ticket to success and early retirement.Between the oil field and chemical plant construction it’s a lot of good money out there and their are looking for certified operators I’m considered bless cause I have the money to actually pay for this expensive certification
