That's incredibly interesting, I've used both CCM and Bauer and always always liked Bauer more, but you've gotta wonder how much of that is placebo from our own biases

It would be interesting to see the Hyperlite vs the new Trigger 6 as they are both low kick. Great video no the less.

Coming back to this video a year later I can personally say that the Trigger 4 Pro is by far the best stick I've ever played with, and I play a lot, and have used Trigger 5 Pro, Trigger 6 Pro and some Jetspeeds. Again, your experience may differ but I'd happily buy a couple of Trigger 4 Pro sticks in my specs if they were available today in Aug, 2022.

You should do an old versus new. For example, vapor 1x versus the hyperlite. Another one could be, ccm jetspeed versus ccm jetspeed ft4

I don’t buy brand new sticks as it’s too expensive but I bought a pro stock ft3 pro and I love it. It was only 170$ us for a 300$ stick. I love my stick and honestly I’m a massive CCM stick fan. I’m probably getting a ribcore 4 pro soon as well to go with my FT3. One stick for offense when I need that quick snapshot and one for defense when I want a stiffer stick with a higher kick point.

I have both. First part of this season I was alternating and ive now settled on the jetspeed. Its a better stick overall

Though I think the blind test is great content! However, you would know that the hyperlite has the Easton S19 shape at the bottom of the shaft. When the FT4pro does not have that shape. At the end of the day I still enjoy your content. I would like to see the blind test with the hyperlite, 3Xpro, 3X, X3.7.

i’m still on the FT3 Pro and it’s felt better than any Bauer i’ve used. CCM seems to be better in general these days and i’m wondering if it’s worth the upgrade because the FT3 seems to be a perfect weight.

I have a bunch of sticks literally almost 60 now that I’ve acquired just in the past several months since I’ve started playing hockey again after stopping in 2008 after high school. I have a couple hyperlites, a geo, a couple trigger 5 pros, a couple trigger 6 pros, a couple trigger 7 pros, the entire DX line from warrior from the DX5 all the way up to the DX, a Force pro, a couple lx pros, and then a bunch of old Easton 2 pieces and Easton one pieces. I literally use all the sticks and take 3-5 everyone I go play some I have sticks for defense, offense, offensive defense, 2 of Ryan O’Reilly’s lx pros that I use specifically for wrap arounds. My favorite ones from bottom to top are the hyperlites, then the trigger 7 pros, and then the lx pros are just amazing and my favorite stick. I just ordered a used ft4 pro for $56 and heard they’re really good sticks that give off a hard shot so I’m hoping it becomes a new favorite since I have a god connect that sells them brand new for around $110-125. So I’m not surprised tommy chose the ft4 pro.

FT4 is the best stick I’ve ever used. I was nervous to try it because my old CCM’s all snapped like twigs, so I had been a warrior fan boy ever since. But this FT4 is great.

Got 2 Nexus ADVs coming in the mail this week! Very excited

Make me nervous just hearing a pair of Nexus ADV sticks. Hope you bought it from a real hockey shop, as there are too many fake bootleg Nexus ADV out there that are selling 2 sticks at a time for price of one.

Jetspeed is the most impressive CCM ive used. First was ST, the ribcor and jetspeed. Its my go to stick.

when is the FT3 pro vs. FT4 pro video coming?!?!?!?!

It's human nature to want to validate that the stick you just plunked down big bucks for is the best. It would be great if we could all try a lot of sticks for free like you guys. I've been buying used sticks and working my way up both the Warrior and Bauer lines. Not surprisingly, each stick is better than the last one. Bottom line is that the more expensive sticks are better for sure, even a used one. Currently really liking my Bauer Nexus Geo. I can't even bring myself to take my Warriors (Covert QRE Pro, QRE 10, QRE SL) to the rink any more.

Recently picked up a Bauer stick, first one ever, as I’m a CCM guy, and to me it seems very whippy compared to my ccm sticks (note that this Bauer has a higher flex). Is that normal for Bauer when compared to ccm, or do I just have a bad stick?

I recently got the ft3 pro in clearance and I think it's amazing value for money, and I came from using only Bauer vapor and nexus

I really enjoy the FT3 pro, although whenever I switch back to my Bauer’s (mostly vapor adv’s but have various other models too) I realize how much better they feel all around

@Calvin Ilkay I know right lol I might be a little biased. In all honesty though, Bauer’s just have a different feel that I prefer. Still love the FT3 though. First CCM Stick in a looong time that I was like dang and actually used for a while

@Calvin Ilkay I normally use pro stocks that have the extended 4” from the factory so I can cut it down from there to be extended to my height. I love the feel of the FT3 shooting though, the Vapor ADV’s just have such a fast release, that just feels a little crisper to me anyways, but I’m not knocking the FT3 at all. Each family from Bauer has different stiffnesses of blades too with Vapor being the stiffest

i’ve been using bauer sticks for the past couple years now and i loved the feel of the ccm sticks i used in previous years, but the blade durability was god awful. i couldn’t afford to get a new stick after every tournament so i’ve been with bauer ever since. that being said does anyone know if ccm stick durability has improved?

i have rarely broke a trigger but idk about the other ccm sticks i have never had a different ccm stick other then the trigger. i think the trigger has improved LOTS with durability

Have they fixed the breaking/durability issue that the ft3 pro had? I remember hearing great reviews on the shot, and the pop it had. I even tried it at my LHS and indeed it felt great on shots, but after reading multiple… a lot of reviews on the durability I stayed away from it. Don’t have that kind of money to be spending on twig that breaks so easily.

People 9nly complain when they break one. Tens of thousands of sticks are doing great in comparison to a hundred or so who had ones break. The ft3 is a steal at $150 or less

@@dobie25fan I was at a hockey store recently. It’s a pretty big one here in Canada and one of the staff members was actually showing me the FT3. I didn’t think of checking the price at the time, but I mentioned what I said above about the reviews and he backed it up telling me that he sees at least one come in every week and they were all breaking in the same are.

I think CCM is gaining on Bauer and their superiority, I use an FT3 and I actually think it be lighter than the flylite

the weight on the FT3 feels perfect for me, i broke 3 of them last year though and i’m bantam aaa. they always break at the bottom of the shaft for me.

its possbile he was sure the white one was the hyperlite and formed a bias before starting.

It’s nearly impossible for him to accurately judge the sticks with tape all up and down them. It throws off literally everything that makes the sticks special. Balance points. Feel. Weight. How it flexes.
