Sadly they wouldn't be able to make videos if it weren't for that advert. With most users having adblocker on and then KZread demonetising a lot of videos with no real reason it's the only way channels can keep making content

Again, spreading info because apparently the press failed on this one once again. The ONLY infected CCleaner version was the 32bit version and a CCleaner Cloud past version. If you are using CCleaner 64-bit, which most of us are, you were not affected. In Piriform's official statement, 32-bit CCleaner users are 3% of overall Piriform users. The website that was collecting the data was closed down, and the whole thing was apparently contained. Read more here: www.piriform.com/news/blog/2017/9/18/security-notification-for-ccleaner-v5336162-and-ccleaner-cloud-v1073191-for-32-bit-windows-users There are reasons to worry because whoever managed to shove the malware there managed to also emit an authentic certification for it, so either internal help or a sophisticated attack. It's not clear though if the infected version was hosted on the official Piriform servers... seems it wasn't. In any case, it's best to never get these kind of software from sources other than the official ones. Investigations are still ongoing.

Netlinked Thrice Weekly. Tri-weekly could also be every three weeks, so it's ambiguous.

Battleborn is such an awesome game, shame it died so quickly after its launch because of Overwatch.

Yeah, it wasn't that great. Borderlands on the other hand IS an awesome series, with Pre-sequel being the weakest link, but only being so because it was basically just a clone of 2. It's better that they're actually working on a worthwhile project, at this point none of these types of games will beat Overwatch.

DIV1D3 It didn't die "because of overwatch", it died because of people who rather played overwatch than battleborn. Amazon isn't killing small local Stores, customers rather buying at Amazon than locally are. Dont Mix that Up :)

I'm glad I haven't updated CCleaner in over a year, if this started happening back in august. I don't think I want to update it now... And if it becomes too outdated there are alternatives.

Thanks for the heads up guys, ran a virus check after your video. CCleaner had compromised my system as well. Windows Defender dealt with it quickly.

Simply updating Avast isn't enough. Affected systems will need to be system restored to a point prior to the infection or have windows reinstalled.

When I read this on another article, I instantly got rid of the software. Luckily it’s not always open, and I don’t use it that much, but still. I’m not updating, I’m not going to use it, I don’t trust it anymore. (Since I don’t really need it)

Technically you could do "on a Tuesday" on a Monday as in the UK it's around 3am when your videos become live, so UK viewers will watch on a Tuesday 😉👍

Use Rarbg or HDT for all your torrent needs, and also a proxy from torguard.

CCleaner now charges you for the features that were free. I won't upgrade to get less options unless you pay for it. 35 pass deletion is no longer an option on the free version. I will stick with my old version.

Did you install the version that had the malware? If so, no. Malware doesn't get deleted off of your hard drive because the software was updated. Time track it down or reformat. Good luck tracking it down though.

If it affects android it affects all brands, and your phone doesn't have ccleaner built in, its simply preinstalled. But if you do a factory reset then it will remove all the spamware crap.

The cross-platform play for Fortnite was revealed to be a "mistake" officially and was then disabled. Unofficially, I think it was a clever move to prove that there is no technical reason cross-platform play couldn't work.

Although we all feel that Gearbox' next project is BorderLand 3, how can the company say that their next project is already being hyped if it hasn't been announced.

CCleaner malware only on 32 bit version, uninstalled mine and ran Malwarebytes anyway. I then reinstalled newest version.
