I am experiencing the same thing. I have been getting knotless braids and canerow/cornrow straight backs and I feel confident because it covers the bald spots. The downside is that my edges are suffering and they are already scanty bad bad lol. I’m giving braids a break.

Completely understand, you have to. I prefer the look of braids but it will have to be every once in a while and when you do try styling it so it doesn't pull on the edges too much.

Some tricologist advise against those styles as well as the chemical in the synthetic hair is going in your scalp.

I hear that but it seems very conflicting because at the same time they've recommend crochet braiding. But crochet uses similar synthetic hair and is in direct contact with the scalp. I think we just have to use our own judgement at times and weigh out the possible side effects. For me my main focus was to not have any tension or irritate my scalp. So far I haven't any issues or flair up. Thanks for your comment though it might help someone consider all factors before trying this style out ❤️.

I was told I have CCC a year ago and I change dermatologist don't ask me why I change I really don't know why I changed and she did another biopsy and never again it could even get the stitches out of my hair and end up making a bald spot but then I find out I don't even have ccc's something else I have so I really don't know who they really trust here

I'm so sorry you had to experience, I can't imagine doing a biopsy twice in the same area. I'm just wondering, Is it possible to try and treat both diagnoses at the samething? How much longer did wait before doing the second biopsy

Hey, sorry I'm just seeing your comment. I had to take multiple step approach. I started taking my vitamin D, iron, calcium and magnesium. Reduced my dairy intake, eat more vegetables and nutrient rich foods. Plus avoid stress or try to manage it. I also avoid hairstyles that require a lot of manipulation and cause tension. It's a lot but you can try implementing them gradually.
