Its nearly impossible to make a CBX sound bad. This is a great looking exhaust system!

Wow that 1000RR tail looks awesome on the cbx. You need a more aggressive front/headlight

@been m8 would have to have a custom set made, dont think youd find a set to fit around that mahoosive engine. Being air cooled wouldnt help the cause either, would need lots of airflow. But, imho that engine is a masterpiece that was made to show off!!

@@mayhemmike1789 Kawasaki made a 6 cylinder water cooled I think 1300cc bike to complete with the cbx. But they sold even less. I have read a article a few years back about some dozen cbx still in the crate been found and were getting auctioned off for like $50+ grand each

Beautiful masterpiece! A true fan of the original bike spared no expense perfecting the weaknesses of the chassis/forks and thoroughly modernizing them. Brakes too. Stunning. That's a bike you never....ever...sell. Build a casket 4 feet wide 7 feet long and 6 feet high. Then be buried sitting on it!

The original frame has been slightly modified where the swingarm with suspension is mounted. This is done by nicobakker framebuilding

I wish I had this bike. The pipes totally suit this bike's aesthetic orientation. That brutally handsome six cylinder testament to gearhead excess encourages the viewer to consider it as the most interesting sculptural part of the bike The more modernistic updates flow with its profiles to achieve an integrated whole.Using duals rather than 6 into 1 provides a symmetry that further melds the parts into a unified synthesis. Very nice. I would like to hear it thru the gears w/o that baffle!

Smooth bike. Two wide at the head. The center cylinders suffered from heat related issues. My best friend/riding buddy for almost 50 years had three of these CBX. He had a 79,An. 80, and an 82. I put maybe 200 miles on the different machine says we would switch off on riding days. The first impression I had of the 82 CBX was this. It felt like I was sitting up on top of something rather than in it. I did not feel as though I was a part of the machine. I like the big tack and speedometer with the red glowing numbers.I don’t know if the pro link or whatever link rear suspension it had was better than the dual shock set up, but I never really pushed the machine. I had just retired from 8 years of road racing RDs, TZ‘s, and I never really raced The big machines. Although I did do a 24 Hour Rd. race that for riders shared a CB 750 single camp machine in the mid70s. During my years at the Road race tracks in the Northeast, I only saw one CBX. If you like high revving noise, that machine was a symphony. It won the race it was entered in at Nelson ledges, then we never heard from him again.. I remember the CBX is being pretty smooth, I also have the magazine from cycle with the red CBX on the cover. But within a month, it was no longer king of the hill. That distinction went to the Suzuki GS 1000 Chain Drtive And D throned as CBX after a single month as being the fastest superbike of those days.

Good looking machine. attention to detail and that chrome cover....only thing, I just think the "modern" head lamp looks a bit out of place on a cbx 1000, to me they look crap on most bikes. I guess it"s all about personal taste.
