Both have pros and cons, but after more than 10 years of passing out from high school and having spent a lot of time in the professional world with people both from CBSE and ICSE, I can say that ICSE offers what the progressive and balanced syllabus should look like. Not to offend people, but CBSE gives you a very crammed-oriented syllabus which is really not what the job market demands, and thus most global companies often complain of candidates who have degrees but are not hire-worthy and lack innovation in India. That’s because CBSE leaves out little but crucial subjects and topics that help in the overall development of a student. English is far superior in ICSE is not a debate but a fact, but it’s a misconception that it’s the only thing that gives students an edge. The biggest advantage for ICSE students is application-based learning. This will help you think outside the box and innovate, rather than just being confined to limited context. CBSE Maths and Science is quite comprehensive for entrance exams, is what most of us consider true, and to some extent it is, as most entrance exams in India for science-based fields is based on NCERT base, which is from where CBSE picks most of its topics. But, isn’t the whole point of changing our education system not to produce just hoards of engineers and doctors for the sake of it, but let people excel in where their talent lies? If you sit for any international exam, most of them will have an application-based approach, including your interview exams at top companies from Google to Apple. In fact, even the Indian government realizes the same and has made groundbreaking changes to exam patterns of UPSC, which for a long time was thought to be an exam only crammers could crack. The future should be a unified board, taking best from both but realizing that at a time where machine-learning and AI is threatening our very existence, you need to develop skills and teach children in a way where they think and not just cram.

Dude what about about the competitive exams, mostly all have to look for cbse only .. Nd success doesn't depend on board.. Due to vast syllabus, I have seen many just mugging up without having any understanding of the topic.. So dont be biased..

Video is very nice and informative. Thank you.I also teach maths and I know that, ultimately it is the knowledge which we grasp, does not matter from which board. I saw many brilliant students in CBSE who have much more knowledge than ICSE students whether theoretical or practical. So, in my view, anyone can be Doctor, Engineers, Lawyer or anything he wants to be, depends on the students and their capabilities.

Sir, I think what you said last is why India is not shining. Student want to go to Govt jobs, engg, medical etc. But instead to build a country you need most is basic research so that you own patents which is very important as a country. Anyways it'll take a few more years in our country for the Research field to be truly appreciated & honoured.

Maine bahut icse wale dekhe hai jo apne aap ko mahan batate the but competitive exam ncert nhi padh paye. Q ncert me thode me hi bahut zyada bataya jata. @@myright19_1_a ncert me matter Acha it's basic dimag lagane hota hai just ask upsc aspirants. They explain you whole chapter with Ncert and also clear your concept better than any reference. It's matter is concise but clear cut matter is there. Aur rahi baat concept ki jab man laga k padho toh kisi bhi bhool se concept clear hoga.

ICSE is the best...The standard of english which a ICSE student knows is far much better than a CBSE one. If a CBSE student migrates to an ICSE board then he has to face great many difficulties, but believe me inspite of having vast syllabus students are able to score good marks because it is not all difficult to score marks in ICSE. The name of the board is CISCE and it is divided into further categories i.e. ICSE for Class 10 and ISC for Class 12. East or West ICSE is the best.

Icse if u wanna have good education with practical knowledge

CBSE is easier and CBSE students have lesser knowledge than ICSE . I am an ICSE class 10 students and I go for science and maths coaching classes. There are a few CBSE class 10 students there and they are losers. Their class 10 syllabus is less and easier than ICSE class 7 syllabus. CBSE education is nothing compared to ICSE. Most of the pass out students from my school are very successful. Come to ICSE and you will know how tough it is. A CBSE class 10 student will hardly score 15% in ICSE class 8.

ICSE is far away better than CBSE I am studying in ICSE and I have watched Books of NCERT . There are only 15 chapter for class 10 th in Science But we have Seperate Books of PCB and there are 42 chapters in our Science unlike ICSE we don't have 1 book of Science . And my chemistry alone is more thicker than CBSE's Science book . And books are very detailed...

@@sabkabaap7186 icse students doesn't need to give govt exams. They already get jobs in multinational companies because they have practical knowledge. CBSE focuses on theoretical knowledge, same like any govt exams aspirants do. That's why cbse students and any state board crack govt exams.

As per my view, agar kisi student ka focus govt exam hai then wo state board se hai ya cbse se, koi fark nai padta but those who want to work in MNCs, prefer reputation and decent job over those typical aaraam talab wali sarkari naukri jisme kaam kam araam zyada hota hai then ICSE is not a cup of tea for those lazy lads or ladies.

Yes u r right ICSE has 10 subjects while CBSE has only 5 subjects.Moreover in CBSE there is only one paper of science(100marks).But in ICSE there are 3 seperate papers (300marks)which makes the base very strong. Now I regret that why I didnot study in ICSE

@@shubham2062 because those things which we study in class 6th like sets you have to study in class 11th and the standard of english is too high in icse schools as compared to cbse schools infact all subjects which icse students had been studying from class 9th cbse students studies it in class 11th and if you are choosing computer science you will not to be able to understand java as they start teaching it from class 9th .And it's not my personal opinion I have the books of class 10th cbse students books the syllabus istoo short as compare dto icse books .By the way I am in class 11th.

Till 5th std there is no major difference in cbse and icse. After 5th apke bachche ke interest ke according continue kar sakte hai. 6th se board switch karne me koi problem nahi hai.

Being a CBSE board student I think CBSE is better because beside NCERT I also studied ICSE board's books,which is tough , and less value in entrance examination,NCERT is useful in every Field... So I will prefer everyone to study in CBSE board school. BTW CBSE is also best for research field because some of my classmate and many senior are in USA, England, France for research and PhD and they are CBSE board's students ,so CBSE is best for me.
