Prospect are seeing what kind of team Hugues and Gorton are building and they want to be part of their future success
Many people forget or don't know that in 1995, the Montreal Expos (baseball) drafted a catcher named Tom Brady. That guy went on to win 7 Superbowls.

Amazing fact!
If Lindstrom can use his physicality as Slaf is learning you'd want him over the smaller draft prospects. This will go well in playoff mode.
Lindstrom, Slavskosky and Dach, the trio from hell.
A triple tower line lol! Slaf, Dach, Lindstrom. that would be monstruous!
It’s funny that all these videos with all these scenarios and when the draft happens, it never pans out like we thought!
No matter the forward they pick at 5 will be a really good player.
Im stuck between him and Demidov, but if we either don't get 1OA nor get Demidov I would be extremely happy with Lindstrom, I will be happy if they draft either of the 2

McCagg thinks we might pick Beckett Sennecke at 5 and he was right about Slaf and Reinbacher in the last two years for the Habs.

It’s the 1st year in a while i don’t know who i want the habs to draft before the draft. 2022 i wanted cooley (i love slaf tho) 2023 i wanted smith if available or leonard 2024 either one of iginla lindstrom catton or demidov
If Montreal remains at 5th, Celebrini will not be available, but you would have to have incredible bad luck not to be able to draft one among Demidov, Lindstrom or Iginla, there are three picks between 1 and 5. Catton the magician with a small size will also probably be available.

I'm all for Lindstrom and I think he would be a very good fit for the team. However, I don't like how he hasn't even been drafted yet and is already going out and saying he should be playing with Slaf and Caufield, basically saying he should take Suzuki's spot.. Makes me wonder if we were to draft him and even put him on the second line, would we start to see some attitude issues?

I had the same thought. Personally, I see Lindstrom more as a winger like a Brady Tkachuk which I would put on Dach’s wing. I’m wondering if he would have an issue with that as well
Let's do it
Would love it if MTL gets him at #5 !
Lindstrom smelling what Habs are cooking? Didn’t Wright ate a steak with Hughes and Gorton? 😂

Zegras is the hockey version of a Harlem Globe Trotter. You don’t win the Stanley Cup with guys like that
If two people asked if it would be cool to play for, say the Dallas Stars, you'd say, "Yea, of course." but it would probably be seen as rude to Dallas's fan base if you instead said, "Yea, but playing in Chicago would mean a lot to me." Not too surprising to me that this happened. If your a high profile athlete like Lindstrom, your coached to say the right thing, and the right thing is to answer a question like this with excitement at the possibility of the situation. I don't doubt that he'd love to play in Montreal, but this isn't, by any means, weird.
If habs can draft him, the line you have mentionned, Dach/Slaf/Linds would be very scary and intimidating. As for Caufield and Suzuki, I'm not sure if a Joshua will be good enough to assume to role on a 1st (or 2nd if the big dudes are going 1st), but Cau/Suz/Roy can be pure finesse line. That would be a great one-two punch in my opinion, then, you have our young defenseman in Mailloux, Hutson, Strubble, Ghule, I mean... I like that. In few years, Fowler would join as the young goalie... I like what is coming... And we didn't talk about our other draft picks and how we will manage to trade them if...

@stephenpaquin1735, Roy is on the bottom six on a cup contending team. If he's on your top six, Habs ain't winning the cup, sorry.
Size matters But Compete level is paramount. It doesn't take size to be effective in Game 7 O.T. just a willingness to compete at all times, including, on the on the backcheck. Sorry Mitch.
Am I the only one who picked up the Rock referrence?
Lindstrom or Demidov? Iginla or Eiserman? Catton or Sennecke? Please don’t say Celebrini lol. Well we could get real lucky…😄

Are you braindead? This has nothing to do with him being black, he's just the best player available at that pick. He's cracked and I would take Iginla if Lindstrom is gone
Ill stop you there we dont need him we are building a team not diversity hires
He's going to be a winger for Habs. Forget Lindstrom at center, Dach and Suzuki are well rounded 2 way centers with better puck skills, better vision and higher IQ. Lindstrom doesn't project as a center on this team. He's purely a goal scoring power forward and won't be an elite distributor. If we're drafting him, it's cause we want him to create havoc around the net, be heavy on the forecheck and rip shots on net from the circle. Like don't get me wrong, I'm a big Cayden Lindstrom fan but he's not Slafkovsky and he's especially not Eric Lindros, not even in play style. Peak for him is Jamie Benn (not prime Benn), James Neal and at worst he'll be Mason Marchment type with a bit more hitting too his game. Honestly everyone has to stop overrating this kid and thinking he's going to be a first line center.
