I suggest doing one of Chaudiere Apalache in Quebec in summer. It's a charming area for riding a BMW motorcycle in. Each village is unique.

I finally visited Nerja in early October 2019. I loved it and plan to return in 2024. Such a beautiful area around the balcon de Europa.

Paella is not a traditional dish in Tenerife. I am sure they might prepare it as authentic as possible, but don't expect it to be the same from the peninsula. I have had paella in many parts of Spain, and they were all prepared with different meats, and seafood. Some were just seafood and others were only meats or a combo. You might have to have it in Valencia.

You are going to love it. The caves are well lit and not scary at all. Also there is a lot of people and guards around. You can get the audio guide in many languages. Enjoy Nerja!

It’s actually an aqueduct called El acueducto del Águila. It’s northeast of town. Google it and Wikipedia has the coordinates.

I didn't go to jail the caves or museum. How did I miss this...

We have lived in Nerja for several months. The caves are wonderful and every time a friend has come over they have gone to see the caves so I have been a few times. The Tuesday farmers market is fun. In October there is a huge county fair. Plus several fun sports activities each year. The population is around 20k so it still seems small and quiet to me. Burriana beach is a must see as are the beaches west of Nerja. Great video - I watched it in April and again just now in November.

It's Mesón Taberna del Paseo and the café is called Mena Garden.

Now I know for a fact you did not jump into that hole....but it is an interesting cave.

I don't want to put a jinx on things by raising my hopes and expectations but I could be finally about to realize my dream of flying to Europe and to Spain - and Nerja and nearby Frigliana is it. My girlfriend and her family have spent many years at a particular Villa in Frigliana. They want me to go with them in May of 2022 so I have put in for it at work. They will be my very own tour guides if by some amazing stroke of fortune and luck I get to go with them too.

@@DanielLaplander Well mate, roughly about the time you posted that I got full approval from work so I definitely will be jetting of to Spain in May of 2022 for my first ever visit. I have been to Europe when I saw my Dutch Granddad and his family in Holland (of course!). But it wasn't a holiday as you and lots of others are probably used to experiencing. It was more akin to taking a train to see your Auntie in another part of the country. It wasn't anything like I will be experiencing next year. I cannot say I am delighted or delirious because my luck just hasn't sunk in yet. But it will.

The paella is traditionally from Madrid. ...it tastes different in many different areas. I haven't had a bad one yet, but it is different from town to town.

Many claim it’s origin being from their area. I don’t think anyone really knows the truth. Nevertheless, it’s an awesome dish.
