I just got my first ukulele today and the very first thing I did was sit down and start practicing this song. I’ve always wanted to learn this song on the ukulele and I’m so excited to keep practicing until I can finally master it. I’ve gotten half of the song down so far and I’m only struggling with a few small things but other then that I think I’m making pretty good progress :) Can’t wait until I can sit down and play this song all the way through!

How would i Connect the first part with the second part? because if you go straight from the G du to the cmaj7 d, d-u, u-d, u it sounds strange

For the more dynamic strumming pattern, if I visualized where the rests are, is it D_/DU/UD/U_ or _D/DU/UD/_U or something else? I see that it's D/DU/UD/U but I'm not sure where the rests fall in that. I've tried to follow just from the video on slow motion but it's super hard for me to visualize that way. Love the tutorial! EDIT: Is it like this? Beat 1: Downstrum (D), then move my hand up without hitting the strings (rest). Beat 2: Downstrum (D), then Upstrum (U). Beat 3: My hand should be at the top from the upstrum in Beat 2. Then 'ghost' Downstrum without hitting the strings, then come back up hitting the strings (Upstrum U). Then, Downstrum (D). Beat 4: Upstrum (U), then move my hand down without hitting the strings (rest).

I have one more question. For the bridge, for each chord how many times do I do the D,D - U,U - D,U pattern? I feel like once for each chord is to slow and twice for each chord is to fast 😬

Hey! By "space" you mean between the frets? If so, yeah, you need to place the tip of you finger right between frets
