Causing a Ruckus

Ойын-сауық

The plaintiff rented the top floor of her home to her then-girlfriend’s daughter and son-in-law. After a month, she evicted the defendant. She claims her ex-girlfriend tried to kill herself in the plaintiff’s home and got drunk. The plaintiff claims the defendants left the place in a mess when they left, so she’s suing for rent and damages. The defendants argue the plaintiff tried to run over the ex-girlfriend and denied them access to the home. They say the plaintiff left their items outside in the rain when she kicked them out. They’re countersuing for rent and the cost of items that need replacing.

Between her trying twice to approach the bench directly, her ignoring the court order, her attitude toward the defendants as renters and her throwing a last insult at the judge, I'd say this woman has not only anger issues but aggression issues. She seems to be aggressive even when she's not angry.

The plaintiff is a hoot 🦉 She did them dirty by not allowing them to come and pickup their belongings and even after the judge ordered them to get their belongings in 7 days, she still blocked them from getting their belongings… she likes drama and she’s a narcissist that wants to keep control… she knows holding their items hostage is the last strain of control she has smh…. This whole situation was a train wreck from start to finish

This was - without doubt - one of the best courtroom dramas I have seen - every bit as good as Judge Judy or any that one could name. The judge was thorough and considerate of all parties and - just as I too would have felt - was indignant and outraged at the self-serving attempt to play at victim by that nasty woman saying "it must be the sexuality thing". What a horrendous person she revealed herself to be. I also loved the part at the end where she said they owed her $425.00 but that she was negating it by virtue of her actions being illegal. VERY satisfying and fair conclusion to a rancorous episode.

@@BobBlumenfeld yes and no, technically it is now theft as there is a court order demanding the return, they could file for theft of said articles/stuff but would only get a small %, example, when my shed was broken into and all my horse riding gear and tools were stolen, I filed a claim, it was over 1000 for the stolen good, I received a cheque for only $375. Thing is, is if they went through insurance, they couldn’t take the plaintiff back to court to make up the difference. On the other hand, the defendants can take the plaintiff to regular small claims court for cost, but they’ll still only receive depreciated costs to replace the items but it would still be more than insurance and your rates wouldn’t go up
