How to fix P0725 Code: Engine Speed Input Circuit
A P0725 code is set when the transmission control module (TCM) does not receive a valid engine speed signal from the engine control module (ECM).
Common causes include a bad crankshaft/camshaft position sensor, transmission speed sensor, or wiring issues.
Example Fixes
Nissan Altima with both a P0725 Code and P0335 Code was a bad crank position sensor.
Honda Accord with a P0725 Code and P0720 Code was a bad speed sensor.
Possible Causes of a P0725 Code:

Thx 🎉
09 Kia Sedona throwing a P0725 & P1701 (tcm), P0744 (torque conv), & P0826 (up/down shift switch). Initially wanted to test/clean solenoids and flush dirty fluid, but now leaning towards TCM. Symptoms were when driven for a while and hot transmission downshifts hard, throws a check engine and goes into limp mode. Anyone with ideas? Definitely feel like I might have to change the speed sensor(s) and perhaps TCM.
