When my cat was alive, he was the exact opposite of the cat stereotype. He was needy, super affectionate, and loyal. He once chased a dog 4 times his size to protect me. Miss him so much.

So you only like a cat that acts like a dog.. Bad way to prove cats are good. Cats are cats. Don’t expect dog behaviour from them. If you want a constant companion who loves and protects you. Get a dog. If you want a housemate who comes and goes and requires minimal effort. Get a cat. Dogs are pets. They require a lot of time and effort. If you’re not gonna be home most of the day. You’re not fit to get a dog. Cats are like houseplants. They’ll make you feel less lonely, but don’t require as much effort as a dog. If you’re going to be out of the house a lot (work, travel etc) then a cat is better suited for you.

They go around your house smashing things, they kill hundreds of birds/wildlife for no reason other than fun. Cats attack their owners constantly. This is coming across like I hate cats. I don’t at all! I like cats and I can totally see why people enjoy owning them. But often people own a cat and try to treat it like a dog. Everyone, including the cat, will be happier when the cat is treated like a cat. 🐱 Apologies if I seem like I’m lecturing. I comment when I’m on the toilet before work so my English might not have booted up properly yet 😅

People will watch whats entertaining to them, if thats what makes them happy then oh well. Yes i cleaned a litter box but cats like to be very clean so I rarely do it but if u see them they clean themselves

I know it's a joke but majority of cats I've know are extremely loyal to their owners. I've been in some homes and they would not approach me they stuck by their owners side. I remember befriending a stray a few years back and he was like my main little buddy, if I snapped my fingers he'd come running out the bushes, he eventually brought me "food" (dead squirrels/rats/birds) nice gesture, and he was super protective.

my cat is SOOO EMOTIONAL and will Not hesitate to tell me exactly how she's feeling. She *twitches* when she's angry. I think anger is her favorite emotion lol. Anger and hungry. She's super sweet when she wants to be tho, she screams at me till i pick her up and when i do she rubs her face on mine. or she just climbs onto me. Good cat

Loyalty is something MOST cats have, they won’t allows strangers to pet them etc but a dog will leave you for a schmackos

Dogs are WAY more useful for society. If cats disappeared nothing would change. If dogs disappeared there would be no police dogs, rescue dogs, Alaskan dogs who are very important to the Alaskan people and aid dogs for disabled people
