Great vid, can confirm =D The thing about stroking the belly and then getting bitten is easily explained: Most cats (very few exceptions) get overstimulated fast if you touch there and the excitement kicks in their hunting play instincts. They seemingly ask for it when they stretch on their backs, always have to resist the urge too =D Mine just let me pet him there when he was almost asleep already, and even then only veeeery gentle and just strokes in fur growth direction. Miss my old man...

Cats really don't like belly rubs. When they roll over like that it's actually a sign of trust or greeting. It's because dogs like belly rubs that they assume cats do as well.

They give one simple, but soft bite, just to tell ya politely to stop. If one tries for a belly rub, I suggest to start from the sides in a careful manner, which doesn't tickle. If one has luck, you might get away without a bite at all.

Generally speaking, a cat showing their belly to you is a sign of trust not an invitation for a belly rub. Cats aren't as closely evolved with humans compared to dogs and cats still use a lot of body language which goes over people's heads.

When I slept on my friends couch his cats where using me like a play set, he has 5 and they where all so interested in keeping me awake, cats are lovely creatures 😟

I have five cats. They have done every single one of these things on multiple occasions.

Ight, lemme speak as someone who owns both dogs and cats. Dogs whine really loudly at absolutely nothing, ask to be taken out every two seconds, and jump up at you trying to lick your face. Cats sit on all your work, scratch and bite a lot, and will s c r e a m at you if you displease them. Both have bad things. Both are wonderful and affectionate pets regardless. You can have your personal opinions but stop fighting over which is better.

As someone with 2 cats, this is so relatable Especially the cat murdering your hand after it gets belly rubs

Once, I couldn't find my cat. I looked for her for 2 hours until I heard a shift in a box in my living room. I looked under the table and she was sitting in literally the tiniest box ever. All four paws were in the box. And she just looked at me like when someone enters the bathroom and you're using it.

my aunt had a cat, she lost it and looked everywhere for hours. she was worried. then she went into the cat’s room and saw the cat was chilling on a high shelf

omg- once I couldn’t find my cat, either. We live near the woods, so we we’re outside searching for houursss. My mom comes back inside and is about to give up, and he comes strolling right from downstairs and starts putting at her feet. This happened again a few days later. He’d gotten into the ventilation and was in our walls..

The only thing your missing is the part were they lay on the important things, and the part were they cause a racket at 3am....
