They are even anatomically wrong missing their ass, tails between actual tail location from the spine and the ass so you know they are unnaturally added. Not even tail plugs look so bad! This movie was thought of. Someone thought to turn it into a movie. It was produced. It was written. It was shot, acted, and directed by Hollywood. It was advertised and shown in theaters. Think of all of the money, time, and effort that went into this. That happened.

I could see bunch of people to think it would work and I think that by ultimate combo of writers, director etc it could have been something more. After it is decided it is made, I can so easily see bunch of people reading through the musical and the things happening in it and just trying to write it into movie. After director gets the script, I could see it trying to make it happen and because its bunch of green screen and cgi, it might have looked fine there. Some miss casts and problems with script. When they started edit it, thats the moment shit hit the fan. They must have known cgi is pure crap, plot doesn't work or is non existing etc. At that moment they want to cash it out as much as possible and just move on. Im surprised that they rerelease it

None of the reviews I've seen of this film have mentioned that Judy Dench was cast in the original Broadway performance of _Cats_ as the lead. So this was no doubt a sentimental connection for her to return to it (now as a different character). Basically though, this project was a group of filmmakers vastly overestimating the power of motion capture and failing to understand that 90% of the charm of _Cats_ comes from being a stage production. It just doesn't work as a film, even if the special effects weren't an uncanny valley nightmare.

Definitely. It's heartbreaking to see great people like Sir Ian Mckellen, Dame Judi Dench, Jennifer Hudson and Idris Elba embarrass themselves in a movie like this.

If they remade this movie, with only Joe re-enacting every scene, and no one else, just Joe playing every part. I'd watch that.

Note to self; cats maybe be goblins. Must investigate.

"Toss your coin to your Witcher , O...Valley of plenty" - This is a better musical to review!

Joe's sanity, Joe's sanity. This movie broke Joe's sanity. It's scary cats and crazy plot. Are truly a calamity.

Whenever I feel sad down or generally out of sorts I watch this review and things just seem brighter.

Nobody's asking the important question: which recreational drug works best with this movie? I'm certain it's a drug movie from the trailers, I'm just not sure which.

The question is will anyone who actually see it go insane? I mean Joe seemed pretty off and Jeremy looked like he wanted to shoot himself while talking about it. Now I'm just thinking of the Scene from Billy Madison where the host berates Billy on his answer making everyone dumber... That is likely what Cats does if you view it. Kill a huge amount of braincells while you are fully aware of it happening...

Black Christmas (2019) is the worst movie I've seen this year.

The Cockroaches in this movie remind me of those human-face insects in Silent Hill. It actually creeps me out.

No. This was a leftover film from Universal's attempt to make it's Dark Universe that started and ended with Tom Cruise's The Mummy.

Tbh I can understand why people may dislike it. The casting choices are extremely good. Especially Cavil. However, the pacing is so weird. It doesn't tell the audience when event are in the past or present
