Catriona had a much better performance in Miss Universe 2018 than in Miss World 2016 and it's not even close. And I also don't think the Philippines won't have a six-year streak of Big Four international beauty pageant (Universe, World, International and Earth) titles had Catriona won Miss World 2016.

Catriona is right up there in terms of best Miss Universe winners ever, but not the ultimate best.

Philippines still celebrates this victory even when Catriona already passed the crown to her successor. Seeing her best buddies Miss Denmark Helen and Miss Sweden Emma in the same stage made it even more memorable. Who cares about the WORLD when the Philippines won the UNIVERSE. Our hearts are full of gratitude indeed. Thank you.

How can she be a miss universe by just competing with 74 countries wherein in miss world there are more than 130 contestants.

What made her powerful, even through watching her from the screen, is that she doesn't wish for the crown. She enjoys and gives her best for each portion she gets into. No stress, just content with whatever is given, but at the same time feeling it, giving your best to it. That's the beauty of not always being the winner in life. It humbles you. It gives you content and the confidence that even if you lose, you won't regret a thing because it has happened to you a lot in life and that you've learned to anticipate it with such genuine positivity. So she wasn't scared of not being the winner, she made every moment memorable to her, savouring it, as if it's her last, enjoying every walk, every smile, every eye contact, every answer, everything. Plus, that passion for children, her creativity, is what added so much spice to her that no one. NO ONE can ever compare. Actually, she wasn't trying to be Miss Universe, Miss Universe was trying to be her. She is just amazing in so many ways.

I immediately came here after the 2023 Miss Universe concluded. Catriona by far was the most prepared candidate the Philippines ever had. Don’t get me wrong, I love Pia and am proud of her. But Catriona during this pageant has raised the bar. She didn’t just bring herself to represent, she came fully prepared, she slayed! Also her eloquence and being articulate is a plus!
