Great video... Edward is by far the most likeable youtube personality I've ever seen. Enjoyed watching every minute. Great car...the color combination is outstanding and the best set of wheels for a GTS period .... Now I want one just so I can put catless downpipes on an already wicked hotrod, looked like a lot of fun! Good job!

@@midlifecarisis_ hey thanks mate, i think i got the whole process, only at 20:00 when you said you added a exhaust gasket the make the attachment better , do you know this gasket part number ? I want to order it now with my exhaust as well (keller performance exhaust) . Also if there is other parts beside those you al ready put in the description or any help you can tell me now please let me know as i dont want any suprises when the stock downpipe is cuted . Keep up the amazing videos and for sure im following you since months ☺️

Just did mine. You can easily reach the driver side lower air sensor with a socket extension. If you take out the driver side downpipe first, after cutting of course, Then you can pull the passenger side downpipe over, After cutting of course, and easily remove the lower air sensor, with an extension. EASY PEASY. No struggle.

Hey, did you have to put a tune on the car to turn off the check engine light? If you use high flow catted downpipes, do you still need to tune the car. im hesitant to change the downpipes from stock ones. A friend decided to tune his 19 E63 with the company DME & now needs an engine rebuild or replacement possibly of the heads due to low compression on cylinder 5.

You do need a tune to turn off the CEL with or without the cats, just because the airflow may be different. I actually had a DME tune, their tunes are aggressive, I recommend EuroCharge and doing a real dyno tune. Hope that helps!

Why would you play music over the exhaust sound at the end ? What was the point of that

So.. after a couple months how is the smell ? And do you recommend catless vs High flow cat (they are way more money thu 😅) but the smell is a concern

You can't smell anything in the interior or when you are driving. You will get some smell on cold start and if you are standing behind the exhaust while you are revving, but nothing that really bothers me. If you are at all sensitive, I would probably go high flow cats.

@@midlifecarisis_ i think that is fine with me.. i just heard people say (smell smell smell etc..) so i got scared but it’s much cheaper than spending $4500 on Catted pipes.. the only thing left is in NJ they seem to really care about that in the inspection so I am not sure if it will pass or I will need to go to a Mechanic / inspection center that will let it go with some cash.. also there is the matter of resell and the future buyer if ever .. in case this will be a problem

@@moealyasini2784 If you can afford to go to sport cats I would for resell purposes. For me Texas has no emissions or inspection related to cats, plus i plan on keeping my car for the long term, so the experience, noise and feel were most important to me.

My amg gts did the same thing last year, catless, no tuning, the CEL is on for a whole year lollll😂

Thanks for the compliment on the car. SSR Performance designs, welds and assembles their down pipe products in Huntington Beach, California. If they are using Chinese steal I have no idea. Do you think you should not put down pipes on a AMG GT car? Is there a different manufacturer down pipes you feel I should have used?

Because China makes even better downpipes than others, especially this catless downpipe is an easy shit to design and manufacture. Good for you put some decent high price US made downpipes on your Mercedes which might even older than me.
