Thanks so much for posting! The printed directions made no sense---well, too tiny to read. Incidentally, I rinsed the filter before putting it in place. It was a bit dusty. Now I'm waiting for my cat to awaken from his nap and discover it. He already drank from the fountain before I put the daisy on it and the water was just gurgling. Seems my problem was not putting the little pump in the correct place and not filling the container to capacity. He loves to drink running water, so I hope he likes this.

@NATE Rosenzweig you have to change the filter monthly. I thought about getting one but filters for the year run about $40 and it seems the pump dies pretty quickly. I read lots of reviews on Amazon about this fountain. There is also a mini fountain by the same company and its $20 and the filters are $20 for the year.

my dad spoiled my cat with this water fountain and I just set it up thanks to you because the instructions were confusing and he's not sure of it yet. i just introduced my girls to the Catit, and same reaction. Eve figured it out in a few hours. Bugs watched Eve, jealous, had to try. Still getting wet nose but this morning I watched Bugs dig right in. I am so happy they are getting healthier water!!

That’s normal for them to be leery at first..mine were at first but they like their fountains now. I throw an ice cube or two in there and they love it.

Angela!!! I really LOVE your Flower Fountain Video! We have antother fountain that makes a loooot of noice and is a bit complicated to clean so I really wanted to see How this one was on the inside too so i could decide if it was something to think about buying! I've just ordered one of these.. One of my cats insists on drinking water out of the tap which I have to turn on for him all day. He will even wake my daughter up early in the morning to drink. I'm hoping this will be like the tap for him.

I have a picky cat when it comes to drinking, and he now has very bad problems with his bladder. I just had to bring him to urgent vets last night his his bladder was blocked couldn’t keep they had to put a catheter in for the next few days to make sure he keeps peeing with iv fluids. Now they want him to increase his water flow to prevent another obstruction. With two cats how often did you have to fill the water dish and was it worth it in the end.

Thanks for posting, I haven't bought one but I'm considering it . Since you had it 3 months now, how do you like it for your two cats? Is it a lot of maintenance keeping it full and clean with 2 cats? And Is the disk under the flower a filter that needs to be changed (like buy a new one), or do you just clean it with the other parts? Your cat Patsy is so pretty she reminds me of mine when she was a kitten. ☺️

Hey Michelle! Thanks so much for your comment and questions. Thanks for complimenting Patsy. I'm very lucky to have her! The fountain isn't very much maintenance at all. I clean it about once a month and since there aren't many parts it only take a minute or two to clean it and put it back together. I did not see any specific recommendations on how often to change the filter but I think once a month or every other month would be fine. You can buy replacements. I did rinse out my filter really well one time because I had to put off buying a new one. My guess would be to buy new filters instead of reusing the same one continuously (kind of like a water filter pitcher or a filter in your fridge). I hope this all answers your questions! They recommend weekly cleaning and change filter every two to four weeks.

i have a 17 years old elder cat. He does not drink water at all and he has kidney problem. That's why i decided to order something like this but i have some concerns. I'm afraid of it's electric leakage. Is it perfectly safe ?

i have mine for 4 years now and it works perfectly fine. Today i order this one (the new version) to have 2 around the house :)

That’s so funny they were lightweight scared of it. My cats (and dogs) had a dogit fountain first and it took the cats like 3.2 seconds to get used to the catit. They LOVE it. What I also love is that my cats exclusively use the catit and the dogs exclusively use the dogit even though they’re sitting side by side.

Keep Your Cat Healthy and Hydrated, need to change the filter after used 2 weeks,a brand KuangBiao filters worked great ,my cat more love to drink water 😀

Cristián Fernández interesting!! What a rambunctious kitty you have! Maybe you could try putting a large rubber band around the top and bottom of the fountain to hold them together so kitty can't pry them apart?

It’s the same mechanism they use with any fountain, the wires are fine & meant to be submerged in water.

How heavy is it? I have a adult male that likes to drag water dish around?

I got a similar one, my female cat likes to do that too. It's pretty heavy once you add full water to it.

I did all the same things and the water won't go for mine.

I live in India. There are few very products for cats here but I found one of this design from an Indian seller. So I'm gonna buy it. It's quite expensive so I'm worried if my cat will reject it. Hopefully he won't.

That's strange! You might have too much water in it or you might not have the top of the fountain pushed down all the way. If those things are not the case, definitley contact Catit to see what you can do! Thanks for watching!

At 2:00 make sure you line the bottom of the green piece up with the little black piece sticking out of the motor

@@d2r457 I just purchased Catit Fountain and I made sure I did I aligned the green piece with the black motor in the bottom middle a few times because it was not spouting out any water at all. Advise would help. Thanks

I picked them up and placed them by the fountain so they could smell and observe it and then they were able to figure out what it was for and started drinking. :)

No, it is room temperature but I think my cats still like it because it's flowing and fresh. I think there are some fountains out there that cool the water.

Jake Doc it's about 37-38dbA. You can hear it quit well. It's not as quit as expected. I use a sensor to run it only when cats are nearby. I wouldn't place it in my living or bed room.

I just bought this for my cats and it's absolutely silent except for the occasional trickle of water, but really that is quiet. I think the cats hear it more because it's low to the ground, not like a dripping faucet. There is ZERO pump noise.

There is water leaking from the round top around the flowers. Is that normal?

Playing that music drowns out the noise of the fountain so I can’t tell how loud it is…

Despite regular cleaning ours got moldy and killed our cats and made our dog sick. Don't use this we are devastated.

Dont buy this its a piece of shit and very flimsy
