For all you lovers and haters of this weird book- Rumor has it, no one ever received one. I actually purchased this when stoned out of my mind at 2A.M. sometime in early 2018, lol. Got a postcard a few weeks later saying that it was canceled, but I had to dispute the transaction. Guess they told some people it was on back-order when I looked into another forum? The website got taken down as well; kind of a bummer altogether, tbh. Don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly capable of cooking a 5 star meal and am a baking wizard (yes, that crumble was a disaster)- but this looked easy on days I didn’t want to cook and I was genuinely curious how well it would work. The plan was to take a picture of one recipe and use a page (for science, obv), and just use other parchment paper other times. However, yes- the recipes are overwhelmingly lackluster, measurements are definitely involved, the combined price and S&H was ‘up there’, and our sweet infomercial icon, Cathy, deserved so much better- but when you’re baked, who cares? And who *doesn’t* want to appease their inner child with a cookbook coloring book? Oh well.

I won't lie, I'm sad this isn't real. It actually seems like a great, simple way to start introducing kids to cooking. They even make toddler safe knives, so even younger kids could start.

I live and breathe infomercials, and this is probably the worst idea I've seen yet. Jesus Christ, Cathy.

This book probably never existed, but if anyone's curious the cooking method this is based on is called en papillote and it's usually done with fish or vegetables.

I’m pretty sure Cathy Mitchell will make a book with ingredients embedded in the pages with an expiration date.

I doubt they hired actors for that scene, they're probably the wife and kid of one of the production staff members. It's an old trick they used on infomercials all the time back in the day to try and make it look more "real" for the camera.

Believe it or not, I think kids would love this.

Hold up , if you use the page as a serving dish then how will you get the recipe again?

This is a mad man's creation

Cooking without measuring sounds great but not great when it comes to adding ingredients into a paper that has ink in it. The ink later would stick into the food and it won't taste good.

Well, I think the thighs are dark-meat. So...idk, maybe that's just how it's SUPPOSED to look. At least in this recipe. I just always have had this 'thing'with dark-meat. Never looks done to me, not entirely sure why.

I mean, the concept IS good......but it shouldn't be REAL!

I came from Jaboody like probably everyone else XD. All I can say is WOW.. it is a fail haha. They couldn't have just posted pictures of how to spread things out, and you're still using a pan for the paper! Lol look forward to any more commercial fails you post :)

I love Cathy, but I hate this product concept lol. I guess with the offer you can get a second book to keep as reference (or just use parchment paper), but still. The tear-able pages could have instead been blank pages in between the recipe pages.

I have to wonder: what are the sodium counts on these recipes and is that ink foodsafe.

This maybe could have worked maybe 10 years earlier and the price was cut in half

This is like: the Karen version of cooking
