This version of Wonder Woman was accepted by DC Comics and incorporated into their Infinite Crisis storyline as a Wonder Woman on a different Earth. She is Wonder Woman on Earth 462

Cathy Lee does a good job, but there's no way she could have filled out the later WW costume like Lynda Carter. That was one-in-a-million casting.

@@cathybess1297 She was not. It was a failed ABC pilot where they made Wonder Woman into a secret agent as DC tried to reboot her costume and the book to the '70s. Both failed. EDIT: Actually, it was pre-Planet of the Apes Linda Harrison in a 5 minute pilot in 1967 by Batman producer Bill Dozier, that was never broadcast (but it's on KZread, of course)...

@@igorschmidlapp6987 and Ellie Wood Walker was also the main lady there and the less said about it other than giving Hippolyta permission to tie someone up in the lasso without her bracelets on (per current continuity that's way worse than with, and even Superman's mortified by the real expression being "like a Wonder Woman scorned" how convienient her granddaughter's named Fury). Linda Harrison should have been the only Wonder Woman in a more accurate silver age story and maybe have Ellie be Wonder Girl (Donna) with a more proper way to do this. I mean I'm not exactly a fan of the Seikowsky/O'Neil run here because of how it reads "Why can't we be writing Black Canary instead?" , but it's better than the awkward Post-War Kanigher run from 1948-1958...and although the sitcom style from 1958-1968 was fine, was it absolutely necessary to keep changing the Wonder Girl stories between panels? Wasn't "Wonder Woman as a girl"+ new girl taking up the name by Bob Haney in Titans enough?

Millennials or young people will probably say Gal Gadot Older people will probably say Lynda Carter Or mention both Cathy Lee Crosby, Elle Wood Walker, and Andrienne Palacki, aren’t the people you would think of who having a conversation about Wonder Woman

I love both the Lynda and Cathy Lee versions. As a kid it was confusing seeing both versions on TV and I just thought Cathy Lee was a different 'Diana' from Paradise Island, since they didn't actually show much of her origin here. Wish they could have done a crossover! Yes, Lynda played the traditional version of the character and is a goddess besides...but if you crave honest-to-goodness psychedelic, 70s Spy-Fy madness, bring on Cathy Lee!

In my eyes, LYNDA CARTER, will always be the original, TRUE actress, who brought life to the character Wonder Woman. This version of wonder woman was boring. She had blond hair, bad choice since no where in the comics she had blond hair, ugly boring, costume, no body shape, no powers, no charisma, and nothing that was true to the comic book character. Never cared about this wonder woman at all. I think Scooby Doo, chasing the bad guys was more entertaining than this show So glad LYNDA CARTER was chosen. She was so charismatic, beautiful body, angelic, captivating blue eyes and wore a sexier costume. Lynda Carter is the reason, WONDER WOMAN, became an iconic figure. It took them so many years to try to find someone close enough to even try replace Lynda Carter. I love GAL but nothing like Lynda. We had many Spiderman, Batman, through the years but only one WONDER WOMAN, LYNDA CARTER

This is one of those "hop on the bandwagon" ideas. In '68 Denny O'neil remade wonder woman with no powers. From WIKI: "Wonder Woman surrendered her powers to remain in "Man's World" rather than accompany her fellow Amazons to another dimension where they could "restore their magic" (part of her motivation was to assist Steve Trevor, who was facing criminal charges)" " ...Diana learned martial arts and weapons skills." and :.....era had an influence on the 1974 Wonder Woman TV movie featuring Cathy Lee Crosby, in which Wonder Woman was portrayed as a non-powered globe-trotting super-spy who wore an amalgam of Wonder Woman and Diana Prince costumes. Also No Body Shape? Are we basing "body shape" on the Kardashians?!?!?! I personally prefer smaller boobs. (though Lynda HAS a perfect face!)

It's wrong Cathy Lee is not The original Wonder Woman because there was a previous actress in a TV-pilot in 1967.Also another blonde in the bathing suit like costume if I recall right from November of 1975 in my local Middlesex TV Viewer from inside from The South Middlesex Sunday News but as we know there are some things that get recorded over like The TVM of The Bear and I which came out before The Theater Movie of The Bears and I.

I remember watching this. The funny thing was I didn’t know who or what Wonder Woman was. I didn’t read comics. I think at the time (10 years old) I didn’t think it was a very good movie. She was badly miscast. I guess they were thinking outside the box and trying to be different but Lynda Carter WAS Wonder Woman. That said, it’s neat to see it again. Life was soooo simple then. I miss it.

I remember when I first saw this. I knew Diana from the SUPER FRIENDS so I knew this version was wrong on many levels. But I later learned that it was actually a weird combination of the "Emma Peel\Depowered" version DC cooked up in the late 60s and the authentic character created by William Marston. On its own, it's actually not a bad movie, but as Wonder Woman it's a washout.
