Think twice. My upbringing was secular, but I attended a Catholic elementary school. Realized at a young age that the whole church was a sham, and the idea of an intervening god highly improbable. They wear garish costumes and perform silly rituals.

It's not a battle. Luzifer lost. They were cast out from heaven, on to earth. Therefore the world belong to the devil until judgment day. They couldn't do anything directly as Jesus enters the stage. Even Luzifer in the dessert wasn't sure what Jesus wanted. He tested him. God set clear barriers, what evil is allowed to do with us. Temptation! In the end Jesus gave us the opportunity, the keys, a way to enter heaven with him. It's our choice...

Always good to hear Bishop Barron!

This happened on 24 Dec 2009. Two officers responded to a family trouble where the son was holding his family at knife point. For ten minutes, dispatch could not reach them which got everyone rolling. We were the furthest squad, so we got there, and no one was around, it was creepy. We tried the front door, nothing. We walk around to the west side of the house where I found an open door. I was the first one in with my partner covering. As I came up the stairs, I see a younger male subject in his teens holding a knife. He slowly turns his head towards me. He had the oddest and most surreal face. Long story short, we got him into custody. I'm walking past the ambulance and look in, there was this kid sitting on a cot but I didn't recognized him so I though it might have been a brother. As asked the EMT who it was that was sitting on the gurney, he tells me that it's the suspect! No way...that's not who I saw holding the knife. i didn't know who it was but certain they had the wrong kid. Well...long story short, I spoke to the padre at church about it, and he confirmed my worst thoughts. That was the first and hopefully ONLY time I ever see a demon! That incident still haunts me .. literally to this day.

I once saw i car chase on tv and when the chase came to a end a little girl came out of the driver seat she must of been 7 or 8 but i was shocked bc the chase didn't look like some 8 yrs old kid was driving and being chased it looked like a adult person was driving. Im a pisces so i looked at things with spiritual eyes in other words i listen to my body. When i saw the little girl come out my body was telling me that the person or thing shape shifted into a little girl and that it was demonic . I guess you're story is a conformation of what i was thinking was true. I see through the fog of lies bc i walk in the fear of Lord.

Such an uplifting message while discussing a very dark subject. Some people believe that it was the 5th century A.D. which was hardest for humanity to survive through instead of the twentieth century which was for sure horrible for a lot of people to experience during war. Someone who is elderly told me that for example the majority of young men in Nova Scotia died on front lines of the second world war.

It is amusing to hear the profound arrogance of someone knowing of God, as if He were known outside of fiction. IN 1884 Pope Leo X111 had a vision and over heard a conversation between God and the Devil. The devil said to God people only believe in God when things are going well for them When things turn bad, they cease believing in him. They blame God for acts as though he does not exist. God, therefore allowed the devil one century in which to exercise an extended power over the world. The devil chose the 20th century.

This helps explain why there are so many people trying to confuse me right now about denominations.

God does NOT Will error. Non-Catholic denominations contain doctrinal ERRORS that are irreconcilable with The Catholic Faith. The Catholic Church is the ONLY Church that can trace it’s lineage straight back to Peter whom Jesus established as The Rock on whom Our Lord builds His Church. The Catholic Church is ONE in Faith and founded by Jesus Christ himself. All other denominations protest against This Church and her doctrines which is why they are called Protestants . Go to the Church which is “The Pillar and Foundation of Truth” as it says in 1 Timothy.

I recently talk quite about the actuality, vividness and real-being of the demons, devils, evils and actual existence of fallen angels. I with no ounce of doubt truly believe in their true existence, and here’s my simple and humble example. Here’s my question. Have you ever seen (not necessarily face to face) a serial killer who just murdered a number of people and in his eyes and facial expression, there is no sign of grief or guilt at all. I mean that killer looks even peaceful and relaxed right after the killings. Other than demons, there’s no possible way to explain this. Any there has to be God in real sense, otherwise it totally makes no sense. Thank you your Excellence Baron for your clarity, wisdom and good news. We don’t have to be beholden to dark powers. Thanks be to GOD!!!

Well one reasom why the number of war deaths was so high in the 20th century is that there had previously been a population explosion in the 19th century.

God has a huge and sophisticated plan for all of his children..... God works in Divine Time and patiently awaits our choices aligned with his Godley plan assigned for us.... we might stay 'stuck' in a situation if our spiritual growth stalls and that applies to comfort level as well.... Life in God's eyes should feel uncomfortable as only then we as humans will discern as growth comes from lack of comfort..... devil is an illusion of a person who's spiritual growth stall and heart was unheald leading to fear and unhealthy choices while using their God's gift of creativity and fear while longing for Lord's light...... The more we cherish our own personal relationship with God the more clear we see and feel God's Plan for ourselves and others.... I absolutely believe about the Devil. With everything crazy that's going on, by itself, doesn't make sense. But when you add the Devil to the equation, it absolutely makes sense.

The devil is not a person, it is a force. Created for good but wich may serve for evil. It the instrument of free will and liberty.

Any person brandishing graven images of what is supposed to be a likeness of Jesus Christ tramples the 2nd Commandment in front of God, whose eyes are in every place, watching the evil and the good. Pro.15:3. Starting off in sin doesn't result in ending with Divine truth, being from the start the person represents Satan by his willful disobedience. Breaking this Commandment prevails these days and by so doing we spot the false prophets immediately. Joh 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me..." Joh 14:24 "He who does not love Me does not keep My Word..." By this willful disobedience, charlatans expose themselves.

I come up with crazy ideas for movies. The latest one is the world nukes itself so the devil can't get anymore souls and right after the all the new and old archangels have the final battle with Satan and his army. Crazy stuff I got a bunch of them in my head.

@@lancep4164 You got it all wrong. The devil is a creature God made initially as a good angel who decided to do its own will, rather than obey God. It is silly to talk about a boxing match. The Gospel narrative about the devil tempting Jesus just shows that Jesus, out of His love for you and me, became man. Jesus had to assume our human nature, and thus was tempted by the devil. But the devil is no match to Jesus.

It was not until I met with our pastor and explained what happened that my experiences could be described as attacks. E.g. while walking into our local grocery store I had an overwhelming urge to walk up to a woman and tell her that she was "worthless, had no reason to exist and she should kill herself." This was so outrageous and unlike me that I recognized it as an attack, said emphatically, "In the name of Jesus Christ be be gone!" Whatever it was departed and I had a strong physical reaction. The other 3 attacks were also of this ilk.

The human heart-MY/your heart-is deceitful and desperately wicked. Do our own hearts deceive us for our own wickedness-by shifting the blame to the devil: “the devil made me do it.” ? Until a merciful God convicted me, circumcised my heart unto repentance, and then drew me to Jesus for salvation, I made excuses for my own sins.

Remember, acting illogically, fearfully, and being paranoid is a great way to give the devil a foothold in your life. Before you go and blame every bad thing on the devil, remember that whether or not he caused it, rationality can help you to resolve many issues and close the doors through which he entered if he had a hand in causing the problem. Logic, as much as prayer and piety, can help you bring order back into your life.

May I ask what happened. When I was a 12 year old child I had 2 encounters that absolutely terrified me . I’m a child of God and I’m a catholic girl and God will always come first in my life . My first encounter was when I felt not a good presence around me and it woke me up from my sleep and I looked up and right in front me was this huge dark shadow with the shape of a hat on its head and that terrified me that was my first encounter my second encounter happened 3 days later and I was in my kitchen reading teenage pop music magazines and I felt this black shadow start to appear right behind me at my right side of my body and it got closer and closer and all of sudden 3 fingers grabbed my arm and I screamed I ran out the kitchen and my mother came out and she said what happened and I said there’s something in there and it’s grabbed my arm and on my right arm was 3 finger marks and again that same night something woke me up from my sleep was about 3am and I couldn’t move my whole body at all the thing I could move was my head looking left and right . I was deeply crying I was screaming but nobody at all heard me and I felt this evil spirit attacking me and I just looked at the screen of my tv and I seen the same black shadow on top of me attacking me . I remember just closing my eyes and praying to God and his only son Jesus to come and protect me I remember saying that I am a child of God and you will not break me for God is my armour and I opened my eyes and all of a sudden the bad spirit was gone and I could move again and I felt nothing but light in my bedroom and not a evil feeling

@@eileenward The devil can't do anything to you but trying to give you bad hints by embedding them in your thoughts, so that he remains undetected. No scare at all: spit in his face because it's his fault you must suffer in this life. The devil is only dangerous for people who do not believe he exists, very dangerous. Normally best thing is to ignore him completely. My case was extremely complicated, I just saw him, blue eyes, whatever sign of movement I would have attacked him, he didn't react and I passed by.

Religion offers answers when sciene can not. The answers religon offer can not be proven or rejected. What we believe becomes our reality. When we all believe the same we manifest it. God made us very powerful when we are in synchronisity. Not power to harm but the power to love.

The Lord saved my soul from demons

I don't see 'evil' anywhere - nor the personification of such. What I do see are selfish actions which can lead to a great deal of harm and atrocious behaviour. Most people have a reasonable moral code, but this can soon be altered if the need arises. Even the mildest of people will, if threatened, defend their children or something they dearly love with as much force as necessary. More importantly, as individuals we mainly behave respectfully towards our fellow man, but put a sane person in a group and behaviour changes - we become territorial and will follow the group to all kinds of actions. We don't need the devil to explain the horrors of the 20th century - mankind is well capable of producing such actions without any prompting from a made up, unseen entity. I just watched the first bit of this video literally a minute and this is what came to my mind. It’s my be strange, but the movie the exorcist I was a young kid when that came out and aware how I finally saw it. I think it was on HBO Before it was like cable was new you know anyways I watched it I saw it whole thing uncut whatever you gotta get it uncut 000 all the flower language it really is it impactful and it’s how a demon would speak but you know at age of 10 I probably saw it, and I thought to myself Not that I didn’t think was real, but I said I Satan exist. God has to exist and it didn’t make me celebrate the movie although I thought it was a very made it had an impact on me and actually in a positive way like I’m saying it just reaffirm my faithbut made me acutely aware of even with a biggie so just a thought I wanted to share. I’m gonna watch the video now.

Because God gave us this world. He never gives up on us,,, those who believe in Him shouldn’t give up on life

Despite Satan's influence on this world, he still operates within the parameters of the one Almighty God that created him. Lucifer Satan whatever you want to call him, will ultimately work to fulfill God's purpose. We as mortals have free will. This freedom is the same as the angels whether they choose to serve God or themselves. Remember Sin is a choice not a compulsion. Satan wants to be glorified and worshipped just as God does. Forcing one to sin ( the devil made me do it excuse) is not a reality for mortals unless you are under a diabolical possession and the Holy Spirit does not reside within you. Glory and true devotion does not come outside of free will.

I met the devil. He is extremely good at arguing, he can argue a point and it's counter point equally well.

I don’t see how hell could be any worse than earth. Earth is pure hell . Our life is pure hell. How can it get much worse than this planet ?

As terrible as you think this world has become its beauty and goodness abound for those with eyes to see and hearts to feel. The Holy Spirit abides in all who ask for the divine assistance. However the bleak, dark, reeking stench, stifling heat and eternal torment of Hades will be nothing compared to the total absence of the spirit of God. That's the true damnation of Hell! The complete void of anything righteous or nothing of the Almighty's divine influence. We take God's presence for granted everyday because we've never experienced a day without it. And trust me you don't ever want to experience a moment without it. Just because you do not use your freewill and take advantage of it, doesn't mean it isn't always there. That's what makes Purgatory different than Hell. You are not alone there as the Holy Spirit is there to minister to your soul and help pray you into Heaven with the Lord and His saints! Hell is Hell, the Earth is divine Creation and Heaven is the eternal reward of Paradise. Most often the hell we live in is a consequence of our bad decisions. Tragically, there are times when poor souls are trapped in a situation not of their own doing and its totally unjust. However someone else's bad or poor choices no doubt aided in that innocent one's dilemma. So you see we all have that spark of divinity that we all carry within us. We have the ability to help create a little Heaven on earth with our faith and freewill used in a positive constructive manner. Keep the faith and Godspeed!

Yes, he does exist, The Devil. If you think he is not around, you do yourself a great disservice. The truth about him, though, he is NOT equal in power to God. If fact at the name of Jesus, he is completely powerless. Without God, we are doomed to be his slaves. Thank God, with Jesus' death & Rising. God has already won.

Satan, devil, etc. is simply the visual depiction of the five main vices within the soul, Ego, Lust, Anger, Attachment and Greed. It's these vices "demons" that are constantly undermining the original qualities of who we are - the soul, Purity, Peace, Love, Humility, Happiness. We have been made to believe these fallen "angels" are real, no, these fallen angels are the vices present in "I" the soul. Bible stories were written to mostly get a message across to uneducated and illiterate people thousands of years ago in a time when there was no internet, Wikipedia, Google etc. So they needed to visualise the teaching so the common person could understand the more subtle aspects and inner workings of the soul - Mind Intellect Resolves
